I am Rod Hull Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 I'm an optimist with a splash of self-doubt. I always think next season will be better. And do you know what...next season will be!! What an odd cologne.
MattyFromLE Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 2 types of players Deadwood never going to get us promoted-Wellens, Gallagher, Dyer, Mills, Pantsil,Howard etc Players who have the right mentality and quality for promotion: Pelts, Beckford, Kasper, Nugent, Konchesky, Marshall, Drinkwater, Danns and King Good point. But. In ****ing APRIL, what is Pearson going to do about under performing players? Sign new ones? No. He can't. Replace them or drop them? Who for? We haven't got strength in depth, what else would you suggest? You make a good point about the players with the correct mentality, which I am sure Pearson also sees, and will act upon. This forum is incredible. I'm neither pessimist or optimist. I love my club, and will follow no matter what league, or position. It's not like we've been relegated, yea this season has been disappointing, can you imagine though if we got promoted with the players you listed as not good enough? We'd come straight back down. Let's build a team, a club and get promoted the correct way, and not the quick fix way.

Lets get promoted the "correct" way...ha,ha. thats funny, even if we did come straight back down, 95 million would cushion the blow. I would be happy with that..norwich and southampton have done it with basically 3 rd dvision players, with miles less money..did they do it the "correct" way..? the fact is our players attitude stinks. they are in a comfort zone, with a second best mentality.
stourbridgefox Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Maybe we just need a whiff of self-belief Rather than the stench of failure
Daggers Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Maybe we just need a whiff of self-beliefRather than the stench of failure We've got a whole alternative Boots counter building up here. Baggsie I get to speak to the Dragons.
davieG Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 I'd say there were about 50,000 different fans and no two are alike.
Daggers Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 I'd say there were about 50,000 different fans and no two are alike. I'm betting there's some twins out there. And if I'm right, and if they are female and blond and cute and legal - my wife is at work from 7am till 6ish, girls. Hell, I've been married for an eternity...I'm prepared to be flexible on the hair colour, appearance, being of legal age and gender.

Yes. The "correct" way as they have built a team, not just thrown money at a squad clearly not good enough to get promoted. 3/4 excellent players, or 9/10 players who are consistent and play for each other? Know what I'd prefer.
Tielemans63 Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 What about 'suicidal' fans? Prob the biggest category right now.

He came on as a sub but could hardly make an impact when the balls are being played behind him! And please don't put Beckford in the right mentality, his attitude at some games has been woeful, turns up when he wants!
ozleicester Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 No... the answer is in the question. "Fans" Im a Leicester fan which means I get a new catagorey every fifteen minutes from passion, hope belief, gut wrenching dperession, ultimate hatred... blah... blah...
Zingari Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 What about a gobshite who sits near you wherever you sit in the ground slagging Pearson all match and booing Beckford, and then be cheering his bollocks off when Jermaine bags a brace before going back to informing the section how he'd use a 2-4-1-9 formation catagory ? I need some recognition for my efforts, it's not easy ! (special thanks to Daggers for summing me up)
Mack Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 There are 5 types of fans. Number 5: The Pricks. And they seem to be growing in numbers rapidly!
Happy Fox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 2 types of managers Managers that have a record of promotion from the championship: Mick, Steve Bruce, Chris Hughton, Billy Davies etc Managers that don't have a record of promotion from the championship : NP, Sven etc

Happy Fox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Welcome to group 5! I was being sarcastic but also you cannot argue with those facts
Mack Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 I was being sarcastic but also you cannot argue with those facts Nigel has finished this job yet, give the bloke a chance and get behind your team!
Happy Fox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Nigel has finished this job yet, give the bloke a chance and get behind your team! I am willing to give NP a chance but when he makes blatant stupid decisions like yesterday it makes me question whether he is the man for the job, he shouldn't be immune to criticism those decisions yesterday for the team selection, you could argue have cost us the chance of getting into the playoffs, and come next season I wouldn't be surprised if Wellens, Gallagher, Howard, Dyer etc are still in the team and midtable mediocrity beckons. I hope NP rectifies things in the summer but I wouldn't be surprised if we are still in this mess imo.
The Doctor Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 I was being sarcastic but also you cannot argue with those facts Wait, so you'd rather the poisonous dwarf over Pearson?

I think you can rest assured if we are languishing mid table next season the plug will almost certainly be pulled.
