I thought Dany N Guessan would be the next big thing, I was optimistic about getting into the play offs but knew it would be a big ask, and I think modern football is decidely average as is the atmosphere and am grateful that I grew up standing in SK2 of Filbert St and not sitting in SK2 of the King Dong. Guess that makes me all four.

Always optimistic otherwise there's no point for me, I can be delusional at times as when talking to friends who support other teams i always like a bit of banter e.g. how Liverpool need Nugent up front for goals or that at Chelsea Danns was better than any of the Chelsea players when we played them to my Chelsea supporting friend lol I get annoyed and moan as well sometimes but I really don't get any enjoyment out of it. All in all i'm just an average fan who loves his Leicester whether were in the prem or league one :D

I am willing to give NP a chance but when he makes blatant stupid decisions like yesterday it makes me question whether he is the man for the job, he shouldn't be immune to criticism those decisions yesterday for the team selection, you could argue have cost us the chance of getting into the playoffs, and come next season I wouldn't be surprised if Wellens, Gallagher, Howard, Dyer etc are still in the team and midtable mediocrity beckons. I hope NP rectifies things in the summer but I wouldn't be surprised if we are still in this mess imo.

And are you sure you're well enough informed to judge his team selection? If so, why not apply for the job time next time it's vacant? Do you see the players in training, know who's carrying a knock, who's asked for a transfer, come to training late? Or do you just pick on the handful of players left from NFP's first era and lay everything at their and by implication - his door? Oakley and Weale used to be in that list of NFP "favourites" but they've been quietly dropped by people like you as he clearly has shown no favouritism towards them whatever. The others were bought in more difficult financial times, remain under contract and at times have played a useful role. Dyer does unsettle defences with his pace, but as we can all agree, his final ball is poor. Gallagher is a match-winner four or five times a season but a luxury at other times. No-one was slagging him after the Palace match. Wellens gives his all (in my view) but his final ball is often over-ambitious and is inconsistent and he struggles to do box-to-box. Howard is way past his best but does (in theory at least) have the potential to disrupt defences late on. None are perfect - but we could go through every one of Sven's signings and find a fault as well - we're not in the business of signing the perfect complete footballer (see Sven's attempt to sign a striker - Beckford was 13th target) - perfect players are completely and literally out of our league. We will always need a manager who can get the best out of the imperfect..

In normal life im a realist but If I was with Leicester I would never not be depressed. I like going into every game thinking we will win, otherwise I might not want to go. So I suppose I fall in the deluded/ optimist thread.

But I have experienced a bit of everything this year

2 types of managers

Managers that have a record of promotion from the championship: Mick, Steve Bruce, Chris Hughton, Billy Davies etc

Managers that don't have a record of promotion from the championship : NP, Sven etc

In the last two years only one manager of the six promoted had ever got a team to the premier before. And if things stay as they are you can add another two to the list of first time promoted managers in Adkins and slap head.

Brian McD if I am not mistaken got Reading into the playoff final last season? so this seasons trend of a slow start followed by momentum of winning games was no surprise. With Adkins momentum of the league one campaign followed by his own style I guess and they are up their.

And? They haven't got teams promoted. So if they go up 7 of the last 8 managers getting teams out of this league have never been promoted.
