Burnley Post HOOOFBALL Match Thread

Laughably bad game. The highlight of which was taking the piss out Gallagher's performance (I'm a bad fan, boo hoo).

On a proper note the players really should be ashamed, yes the season is over but they should still be putting full effort in and not just half-arsed performances. It's what they get paid to do. Season's over, can't wait for the summer clear out!

The players didn't look up to it from the start. Generally not bad football but just unispiring, absolutely no one was brave enough to do anything out of the ordinairy. This was an opportunity for the players to show the manager and the fans what they really can do without any pressure on them but instead, they just didn't turn. Bad attitude all round.

The players will blame the fans no doubt but they need to take a long hard look at themselves after tonights result. That said, please no hasty decisions, Pearson will do well next season.

This is how I've felt for some time. Like I said I think tonight's lacklustre performance could be partly put down to the players feeling there's nothing to play for and not mentally being up for it.

But the fact is we lack a cutting edge out wide and in the middle of the park. There's no bursts of pace or skill. We really need a creative midfielder and an out and out winger. If we don't get those we can forget promotion next season.

I'll think you'll find Beckford is on more than 8 goals you bellend

If you want to a say sorry to him, then you might regain your posting ability.

When you thought we'd signed a 20 goal a season striker, did you imagine that he'd get half his goals in the cup? Or did you think he'd get them in the league?

Just asking.

I grounded my son and didn't take him tonight because he has been a naughty boy , wish I had took him now because watching that shower would have been a far bigger punishment .

I'll give him a lift!

It's a team game, no one player is at fault collectively they're not good enough.

But people boo Gally on to the pitch yet his scoring rate is 8 in 28 (stuck out on the wing & half those games with a back injury) vs Beckford's 8 in 33 and yet some people.

Blindly picking on individuals gets us nowhere, we're not as bad as people make out. Yes, its all hugely disappointing & everyone including management & players bar Marshall needs to up their game along with 2 or 3 changes and we'll be there.

People are still doing this?!

I was hoping if I stayed away for a while I would start to miss it and I'd enjoy going back to matches again next season, at the moment it's like everything's trying to convince me not to get a season ticket

can someone just explain to me what they are doing whilst training in the week? Whats the plan ????

Just cant quite work out what they have been trying to do all season????

Season over for me........thank fvck

The people who boo Gallagher before he even touches the ball really need to **** off. Are fans don't deserve Premier League Football if we treat are own players like that when things aren't going perfectly. If Gallagher was a Marlon King or an El Hadji Diouf then fine, but he's not, he does his best whether you think that's good enough or not.

I think pearson will be gone by the end of october..

And then it will all start over again. New manager comes in, buys a couple of players, season nearly over by the middle of March, people start saying "he needs a Pre-season to bring in his own players"

Well I believe the plan first half was for Kasper to kick the ball out for a throw, goal kick, or to one of their players every 5 seconds. Second half from what I could see was to keep the ball as much as we could without threatening their goal.

It was all Burnleys fault they parked their bus and practiced for next season and didn't let us score its not fair. Plenty fans left early. When I left the ground I found even the police had left early.

They are booing the manager - his decision to put Gally on. Really hard on the player - but he is attached to Pearson. I don't see how booing helps any situation. But boo to this season.

Great question. We've got no purpose or confidence in what we do. There's no belief in the system.

How was it Burnleys fault? They came here with a plan to park the bus and we was unable to break them down.

Tonight has to go down as the worst match I have witnessed at the Walkers/King Power Stadium. Tonight's match was well and truly awful, both teams were beyond a joke, the whole match was a joke and both teams couldn't create chances for toffee. I usually stay till the end, but tonight I left 10 minutes early, I just had enough of watching such shite, got up and walked home.

Can't record a worse match, it was well and truly woeful. The midfield was incredibly poor, Drinkwater and Wellens were beyond a joke and Beckford yet again was absolutely awful. I cannot be doing with this rubbish any longer, and on the whole season and tonight's performance I have decided to give up my season ticket.

The manager is a joke and the team is a joke, new manager and new players for next season or we will be well and truly fooked, and mid table will most likely beckon.

Thank god the season is over, and thank god I went early tonight, well and truly the biggest load of shite I have watched at the King Power Stadium ever.

Frustration post over!

No they're booing the player. Not that either is alright.

How many would still backing him if we failed to win any of our first three games...? Ive seen it all before..

Well at least Top can tell Asia Sports Investments he's funded one teams promotion to the Premiership this season.

Roll on next season, hopefully Nige can clear the poison out and give us a team to be proud of again.

I don't think that's going to give that message though, is it? Even if they're not booing Gallagher it looks like they are.

It's no secret that a lot of our fans have an irrational hate of him so what makes you so sure the boos are for Pearson? And is it really acceptable to boo Pearson at this stage?

Booing the team/staff/club as a whole is fair enough but singling out individuals is another thing.

So it is Burnleys fault they had a plan to not let us win, we had a plan not to lose.
