wurmer Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 To be fair, this thread is a bit stupid really seeing as we didn't play hoofball at all. It was a pretty decent performance, good passing etc, just lacked an end result. But whatever, typical Leicester fans who will be really negative, if you think we played hoofball, i'm guessing you didn't watch the game. Nah mate, you were on ITV and watching Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid...
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Glad my laptop died. As un-inspiring as it gets. No excuses half of them just didn't look bothered. So annoying
Thracian Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 When people talk about adequate or inadequate coaching tonight offers an example of just how lacking we are. Burnley elect to sit back for the second half and defend their point. And we show not the faintest idea of how to break them down. Why? Because there's no indication that the team has ever been told what to do about negating such tactics. It's not as if it's anything new we were facing. Lots of teams are less than expansive at Leicester. So making preparations should be a given. but, instead we just plod on bashing our heads against the flesh wall that our opponents stretch across the penalty area. And the biggest reason we become offensively sterile? Misguided coaching manuals. A major emphasis of coaching workshops is not to take risks. They preach the idea of never taking people on and risking losing the ball when you can pass your way through gaps. Unfortunately at Leicester's level we don't have enough players in close proximity to pass the ball accurately enough or quickly enough between packed defences. So what we need to do is to take people on in different places and in different ways and to work dummies and set-up plays outside the box whereby in various ways we expose and unsettle defenders, putting doubts in their minds and encouraging mistakes. Another thing, and resulting from the above is to have a crack at goal. Lots of cracks if necessary so that defenders are committed to making blocks meaning that a dummy to shoot might be productive or there's the chance of a deflection. It's all about posing different problems and showing a bit of imagination. But no - we just batter away with our usual and easily defended predictability. And the worst thing of all was that, for all our spending and all our owners' commitment we barely caused a ripple of excitement in a home game. Even our substitutions lacked imagination and intent. As a manager or coach I'd have been ashamed.
One Arm Babba Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I like this guy on radio leicester. Mr. Negative. Hes pulling no punches.
onecapwonder Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 On a serious note, if we play like that against West Ham they'll put 5 past us with ease.
roachmachine Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Absolutely delighted i didn't bother going tonight, even tho i'm a season ticket holder, i thought better of it, had more than enough of rubbish for one season, and yes surprisingly i'm still sober :scarf:
One Arm Babba Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 We are shit. And it's not looking like improving any time soon.
Corky Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 On a serious note, if we play like that against West Ham they'll put 5 past us with ease. We'll raise our game for that one.
jimmer Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I think Tony is a little overweight!! pant pant pant!! what a cock
wurmer Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 We'll raise our game for that one. Why would they start now?
ScouseFox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Nothing to say on tonight's match. But I will say Pearson's not helping himself. This absolute shite, drab, grim, mess he keeps producing is not inspiring anyone, and whilst most, myself included, think he should be given more time etc, I'm not too sure how much longer the Thai's will want to be funding and watching this balls.
Corky Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Why would they start now? We usually beat the better sides.
Kitchandro Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Glad I didn't go, so, so, so glad I didn't go. I had to be dragged to the Doncaster game and lets be fair Doncaster made us look good. Think that's me finished for this season (And dependent on Season Ticket Prices maybe next, doubt it, but a possibility). Sorry for being a bad fan.... Same here (except I didn't go to Doncaster ) Whether I get a Season ticket or not I can't wait for August so we can leave this behind.
cc_star Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Title needs changing... It's just typical rhetoric from brainless anti-Pearson morons We played football, there was plenty on the ground, most of the good stuff seemed to be around Marshall If Beckford could have collected a few more balls he could have got shots on goals, the build up was generally too slow and we lost possession too much again It was poor, but hoofball it wasn't
Kitchandro Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Did we look demotivated by any chance? I'm not surprised it was 0-0, the players have finally accepted we've failed.

I hate to say this. But this. Pearson won't be happy in this interview/statement.

Babylon Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Someone draw a triangle and send it to our players, because I'm not sure any of them have ever seen one. Thrac, Burnley sat back for a point??? in a nothing game??! Rubbish. We just managed to not hoof it and give it away every 5 seconds, along with an upped tempo. Agree on being too shit to break them down.
chapmanleicester Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 you watch us thrash west ham on monday just to show us what they can do
