Babylon Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 How many would still backing him if we failed to win any of our first three games...? Ive seen it all before.. And how many would back the new manager if he lost his first two? The short term view from owners and fans alike is ridiculous. We may as well hand out 3 month contracts to people.
Bert Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Had 0-0 written all over it. No one seemed bothered in the slightest. Thought Wellens had a good game, until Gallagher came on. They just pass to each other for the sake of it. One clear cut chance. But I guess it's hard when you're playing against 3 double decker buses. Was annoyed the changes weren't made sooner tonight too.
hackneyfox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Just get rid of them all. Would we truly miss any of them?
WardyisPukka Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I'm just going to leave this here. sums it up pretty well
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Here comes my moan.... We were awful today and I will blame Pearson. We can't blame the players because they tried (well at least I think so). He got all his tactics wrong and again his substitutions and the timing were poor. Yet again. He has single handlely ruined this season for us. We play boring football with a manager who insists in playing the likes of Gallagher and Howard. His biggest mistake for me is not playing Mills Rant over
Guesty Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Not read all of this but i didn't think we played hoofball as some on the first page said. I think are problem we have is the strikers arn't tall enough or strong enough. We just pass the ball around the edge of the area because none of the midfeild have the skill to make the pass to break open the opposition, so it goes out to the wings who have to put a cross in. Since we have no height we never win the header so we just repeat this process over and over again. It's both managers fault, they should see when teams sit back we can't break them down, so either should have bought a target man. That way if we had played hoofball we might have had more success. Edit: Thought Beckford didn't really do anything again. I know he makes runs and people don't see them, but when he does get the ball he does naff all with it most of them time. Everyone was pretty poor all round though.
marbelladave Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Again I'm afraid I go back to the point made some months ago. Quality wise, we are not and just have not been good enough. The forum has been full of such crap this season. ''Beckfords gonna fire us into the Premier League', being the pick of the crop for me. Tonight, I thought he was utter garbage. I can't recollect him controlling it and beating a man once? Then again, Nugent was no better. The whole thing was just dull and meaningless. Something's gotta change cos if we can't get out of this division THIS season it ain't gonna get any easier. Nothing we don't already know, but here's the facts and figures to prove it Championship Table results Vs top half Championship table Vs bottom half Unbelievable really, proves it's an attitude issue rather than ability or anything. Probably easier to fix than it being the other way around, maybe?... like Brighton's for example who have fared poorly against their rivals but have dispatched the bottom half teams with ease. I think the above suggests that we are good enough when we can be bothered, it's just that mostly we can't........ I appreciate that we lack creativity against teams that set up defensively against us but the difference in our performances (top half v bottom half) is far more than just that.
Mark_w Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 He has single handlely ruined this season for us. IT WAS GOING SO ****ING WELL TILL HE CAME ALONG!

Was annoyed the changes weren't made sooner tonight too. Are you sure about Wellens Bert? I thought he was terrible - just too pedestrian, always looking for an easy pass, no vision, no runs off the ball, too many two yard passes to a player in no space, I could go on... We need a dynamic CM that compliments Drinkwater in the middle of the park - a commanding figure that takes no prisoners.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 IT WAS GOING SO ****ING WELL TILL HE CAME ALONG! But it was never this low and we weren't that far off
leicesterlad1989 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I've hated midweek games for a while now but tonight, it really took the piss! At one point I compared us to watching my monday night 6-a-side team (and we aint very good). So flat, no movement and everything was sloppy. Considering it wasn't mathematically out the window for the playoffs there was such a lack of effort.
southdevonfox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Just get rid of them all. Would we truly miss any of them? at least i will get a few months stress free when the season ends
HEGGSY Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I'm permanently residing in GC until this dies down.
kingfox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Wellens wasn't good at all, he was terrible, they were all a joke including the manager. Worst game of football I have ever seen at the Walkers/King Power. Whoever gives a player over 5/10 is deluded, all deserve below 5 by a mile.
Corky Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Did you see Leicester 0-0 Colchester in 2006? That was truly the worst game ever at the stadium.

Mark_w Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 But it was never this low and we weren't that far off Yes it was . If anything we've looked better since Nigel came back, certainly there's a lot more to look forward too with players like Marshall and Drinkwater coming in.
leicesterlad1989 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Oh and anyone blaming them for parking the bus...there have been a few teams try that this season against us, and even then we actually create a meaningful chance. Tonight was just woeful. Lack of ideas and creativity. And as others have mentioned, I don't understand the booing towards Gallagher. I'm not the biggest fan, but booing won't help and he certainly isn't the worst player.
broughtonblue Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Not seen such a hopeless home performance for ages, in fact you have to go all the way back to when we played Doncaster, and then even further back to the forest game! Clueless, hopeless, boring football from clueless hopeless frightened players.
Ozwin Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Wait, the fans are booing Gallagher now? I wasn't there tonight but that's out of order, what the **** did he do?
Libertine Dream Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 We were truly awful tonight as were Burnley. A typical meaningless mid table clash which neither team really wanted to plag but had to. Problem is our squad isn't balanced enough, wuthout Danns we have no energy in midfield and that is a large problem for us. I genuinely believe NP can sort that out and today we saw how promising Drinkwater and Marshall despite them being just small glimpses. I'm not gonna comment on the style of football because although it was bad, NP has an unfair 'hoof' reputation, next season I hope we will play some food stuff like we did before when he was here. See Scunthorpe game 5-1 Onto the players, I hated their lack of desire on Saturday and throughout the seqson but tonight I understood why they lacked the effort. If I was a footballer and had only 3 meaningless games left, I wouldn't be arsed with the game knowing Im gonna get my pay still. Its fruatrating to watch them but like the fans can't he arsed, neither can they and I'm sure they want to be on holiday and forget this season.as much as we do. I'm not saying they shouldn't put in the effort but I'd be exactly the same. Its like when you were in a lesson that was pointless, you didnt bother and messed about.

His biggest mistake for me is not playing Mills Rant over Yeh I think he would have solved our attacking problems. Single-handedly? Really? Not the players who are actually playing, not Sven who signed the players? Not even his fellow coaching staff? What an absolutely shocking post.
fox ache Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 At least now we can put this season behind us and look forward to England winning the Euros  lol
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Yeh I think he would have solved our attacking problems. We'd be better at the back, turning loses into draws and draws into wins and ITS MY OPINION
