Iwan Roberts Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I wasn't trying to point out anything about quality. People keep saying Sven bought the players I am trying to show the majority of the squad are actually Pearsons signings. Not one of Svens midfielders are here, he brought 3 strikers Vassell doesnt get a look in, out of the 6 defenders he brought 4 are in the squad. The rest of the team are now Pearsons and I was tring to show that we dont need to play any of Svens signings and then we couldnt lay the blame on him at all.
MC Prussian Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 On the bright side, we're now definitely not getting to the playoffs. Which means I can sleep safe and sound once more, without having to cling onto the next game... and the one after that... and the one after that.
flowwolf Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 To be fair, this thread is a bit stupid really seeing as we didn't play hoofball at all. It was a pretty decent performance, good passing etc, just lacked an end result. But whatever, typical Leicester fans who will be really negative, if you think we played hoofball, i'm guessing you didn't watch the game. And i'm guessing your thick as custard. Kasper managed to hoof it out of play on no less than seven occasions without it being anywhere near a city player. To be fair your not even good as a wum. typical Leicester lobotomy.
accessory Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Did Pearson say much after the game? Or was it ummm errrr not ummmm good enough ummmm He's not articulate or intelligent enough to be a Premier manager. The excuses wore thin a while ago. People are tiring of him - even some of the happy-clappies on here. Now the season ticket prices can be announced it will be interesting to see how many fans renew. If enough walk away, it may convince the owners a change is needed. You didn't think Neil Lennon came down here on a scouting mission, did you? Especially as no-one on either side even reached SPL standards, let alone Europa League ones..
5waller5 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I left at 63 minutes to go work as i was on nightshift. Ive never left a game so early in my life(I'll usually leave a few mins early if im on nights) I've been a ST holder now for 20 odd years. BUT i seem to have fallen out of love with LCFC,maybe the so called beautiful game in general. I cant envisage spending £400 on a ST to goto games i dont actually look forward to going any longer and just seem a chore and to see mediocre football. Im not even that bothered if we do go up next season(unlickely im sure) to watch us playing at Sunday Teatime or 1205 on saturday afternoon dictated to by Mr.Murdoch. Perhaps my miserableness has hit an all time low,but i dont think i would have even cared if we lost today. Im sure its just a blip, like any marriage,we may need a trial seperation as at the moment i cant be bothered to see the bitch anymore as she seems more hassle than fun! Couldn't agree more .... I'm in exactly the same situation .... 19 years of being a season ticket holder and have never been so uninspired. I don't want to keep banging on about it .... But I was so optimistic even after Millwall that we'd got Sven and it would all get better .... I just look at the Mrs now .... flabby, average looking, no fun, and a defensive old bag ... and she has to go, sorry Nigel, it was good first time but when we got back together it just didn't have the same spark!!!!!
THEFATBASTARD Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Real Madrid seems an awful long time ago.. a different world.
Mark_w Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 He's not articulate or intelligent enough to be a premier manager. I'd say Pearson is definitely intelligent enough, you know Ian Holloway was a Premier League Manager last season right?
Karljohn Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 That was a really nice 94 minutes sleep thank you Nigel, after a shitty night last night (only got 5 hours in), much appreciated.

Mark_w Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Seriously you would think he would come? Seriously what makes you think he's a better manager than Nigel Pearson?
5waller5 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Seriously what makes you think he's a better manager than Nigel Pearson? He's bothered.
Raj Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Thing is as football fans we think we owe the club our alliance no matter what. When i started going it was 7.50 in the Kop and was abit of a laugh(albit having to get there about 3 hours early!) Nowadays its just not fun but the bigwigs will continue to think they are doing everything right until folk realise that you cant keep spending £££ on shite!
Happy Fox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Seriously what makes you think he's a better manager than Nigel Pearson? I was just questioning accessory because it is laughable that Lennon would entertain the possibility of managing our gaff. Whether he is a better manager or not is not for me to judge he would be gamble as he hasn't managed at this level.

NewburyFox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Here comes my moan.... We were awful today and I will blame Pearson. We can't blame the players because they tried (well at least I think so). He got all his tactics wrong and again his substitutions and the timing were poor. Yet again. He has single handlely ruined this season for us. We play boring football with a manager who insists in playing the likes of Gallagher and Howard. His biggest mistake for me is not playing Mills Rant over This is my favourite.

Nowadays its just not fun but the bigwigs will continue to think they are doing everything right until folk realise that you cant keep spending £££ on shite! Feel the same, I feel completely detached from MY football club that I have supported since 1981, seen so many limited footballers in that time but they still tried and battled, this current crop dont give a shit and its more money than ever before to watch it, it wouldnt be so bad if we actually had a team play us that wanted to win too, the standard is piss poor, and there is a general feeling of endurance rather than excitement now for 90 minutes. Funny how Reading have torn through this league without "captain fantastic" Matt MIlls.
flowwolf Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 At least now we can put this season behind us and look forward to England winning the Euros  lol Wow have they bought the winning tickets for Friday nights draw ?
flowwolf Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Stop booing you brain dead idiots. I am ashamed to hear boo's for our own team! What the hell is wrong with people! Seriously they boi a player before he'd touched the ball despite him actually being our third top scorer this season, and yes in the league he us actually joint second with beckford who is a striker! If you want glory then Manchester is north from here! If you want to support Leicester then stop moaning and booing and start being realistic. Give the management time to build a team, something that isn't going to happen over night. I really don't understand what goes through some people's heads. They all expect instant success at everything, otherwise they turn their back on it. I don't get it. The best teams in this league have had players that have been together for years! It's no coincidence then that they play better football and understand each other at a better level. Patience is the key in this league, wether it be in building the team or in possession. Something some of our brain dead supporters don't seem to understand. I heard boos today because we passed the ball around the opposition area, disgraceful! Bring on next season, where we will hopefully wii some more games and shake of these wums who think its ok to boo their own team. Sorry rant over, most on here aren't like this but some people make me so angry. Not as angry as apologist's like you make me. Did you actually go to see that abject surrender of a display tonight ? This was a team who did not give Fvck about you as a supporter , Most people lost their blinkers tonight and booed because they were angry at paying £32.00 + for what amounted to absolute hoof ball dire football. Still while there are suckers like you around they will still take your money and the piss. It is you who should be ashamed of yourself for being so stupid.
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I'm a Pearson fan but that tonight was garbage. I suggest to everyone that the Sousa/Sven days have left a rather nasty imprint on this squad and that it's going to take quite some time to rebuild some sort of team. Whether it be a lack of quality, or a lack of 'passion' I really don't know. To my mind, a bit of both. I would still maintain that we must get some steel into the side, especially away from home and some creativity when at home. However, the team that Pearson put out tonight is the same team that I would have fielded, apart from Schlupp for Beckford so I can't complain at that. All in all a bizarre and ridiculous season at the club and God knows how, with the money and time available for both Sven and then Pearson, we have ever managed to put on a performance such as we did tonight. Back to the drawing board, but next season IMO will be even tougher. That's a sobering thought.

No, that was a set of supporters that did anything but support the players. If we're the kind of fans that boo someone before they come on the pitch then we don't deserve success at the club. Why should a player care about the supporters if we treat them like 'we' do.

He hasn't taken training this week. We didn't pick the side or forget to instil any pride in the players. Pearson is the manager. He has to take responsibility for tonight. Yes you can defend that he lacks some of his players in some areas .... but his coaching and motivational skills are showing through now.
RonnieTodger Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Had Chelsea v Barcelona been tonight, I wouldn't have gone even though I've got a season ticket. I predicted a 0-0 and boy, was I ****ing right. That was the biggest pile of shit from both sides of the touchline. I genuinely wanted Burnley to score at the end, if Gallagher couldn't, just for some entertainment. Our morons in the stands didn't deserve anyone but him to get a winner. Our fans are shit and so are the team.

The players aren't half as bad as most of the fans who actually turned up today. You'd think we lost 10-0, we drew for **** sake.
