Burnley Post HOOOFBALL Match Thread

Beckford couldn't control the ball if he was on his own and passed to himself!!!

On occasions Beckford and Nugent look like a decent premiership partnership. Why those occasions are so few is someone elses problem.

that may be soo. but why is everyone giving Beckford stick, when Nugent has been just as poor if not poorer? if i was Beckford id leave Leicester and join a club where you don't get booed and shouted at for not having the pace, power, movement, accuracy, ball control of Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo!!

Typical anti-Beckford fan, what about Nugent? he did sweet FA in regards to scoring? giving away possession on a fair few occasions too.

Of more concern are those that still say that Beckford and Nuge have some sort of 'strike partnership' going on cos I for the life of me can't see it. I see no play between the two of them whatsoever

And neither can Pearson.

Nugent doesn't get the grief because his all round game is better. If he isn't on his game he still busts a gut. I expect the players to have control better than league two standard, not Messi standard.

Someone draw a triangle and send it to our players, because I'm not sure any of them have ever seen one.

Thrac, Burnley sat back for a point??? in a nothing game??! Rubbish. We just managed to not hoof it and give it away every 5 seconds, along with an upped tempo. Agree on being too shit to break them down.

I've not forgotten that Burnley had the two best chances of the match but they got a lot of people behind the ball second half and we didn't show the imagination, accuracy and determination to challenge that.

Not that I'm going to bother arguing any more cos it matters for nothing now.

Our season has finished with all the excitement of a dud firework despite paying a fortune for what we hoped and expected would be a spectacular.

Pearson and his staff should donate at least a third of their salaries to charity cos that's what I'd have done for presiding over so much shit. They've produced the sort of performance bankers get verbally torn to shreds for.

They didn't have much choice because we kept the ball so much better. Again, agree on the second part.

In that case so should 90% odd of all managers and players that ever existed.

Do you mean "a damp squid"?

Sorry I am bored and depressed. And I still don't know what I want regarding the manager and our future. I think NP can get us promoted - but I am not at all sure he could keep us up (in the prem) and I don't particularly like his style. And I hate the idea of continually sacking managers. Pissed off and confused. I absolutely hate football.

Worry about that when we get there.

At the moment we are a very long way off.

The players didn't look up to it from the start. Generally not bad football but just unispiring, absolutely no one was brave enough to do anything out of the ordinairy. This was an opportunity for the players to show the manager and the fans what they really can do without any pressure on them but instead, they just didn't turn. Bad attitude all round.

The players will blame the fans no doubt but they need to take a long hard look at themselves after tonights result. That said, please no hasty decisions, Pearson will do well next season.

To be fair, this thread is a bit stupid really seeing as we didn't play hoofball at all. It was a pretty decent performance, good passing etc, just lacked an end result. But whatever, typical Leicester fans who will be really negative, if you think we played hoofball, i'm guessing you didn't watch the game.

it was a pretty decent performance ? in what way ? please tell me im baffled !

If i was Beckford id leave Leicester

I'll give him a lift!

It's a team game, no one player is at fault collectively they're not good enough.

But people boo Gally on to the pitch yet his scoring rate is 8 in 28 (stuck out on the wing & half those games with a back injury) vs Beckford's 8 in 33 and yet some people.

Blindly picking on individuals gets us nowhere, we're not as bad as people make out. Yes, its all hugely disappointing & everyone including management & players bar Marshall needs to up their game along with 2 or 3 changes and we'll be there.

Nothing to say on tonight's match. But I will say Pearson's not helping himself. This absolute shite, drab, grim, mess he keeps producing is not inspiring anyone, and whilst most, myself included, think he should be given more time etc, I'm not too sure how much longer the Thai's will want to be funding and watching this balls.

I don't think they were there tonight, not in their usual seats anyway.

Didn't see them last week either.

Probably trying to figure out why we don't play like the Leicester City on Top's football manager game! (or is that what this is?)

We're the least imaginitive team in the league.

Really? 17 teams have scored the same or less at home and 16 teams have scored the same scored less away on a quick count. It was shit, but lets not make sweeping statements hey.

Again I'm afraid I go back to the point made some months ago. Quality wise, we are not and just have not been good enough.

The forum has been full of such crap this season. ''Beckfords gonna fire us into the Premier League', being the pick of the crop for me.

Tonight, I thought he was utter garbage. I can't recollect him controlling it and beating a man once? Then again, Nugent was no better.

The whole thing was just dull and meaningless.

Something's gotta change cos if we can't get out of this division THIS season it ain't gonna get any easier.

I'll think you'll find Beckford is on more than 8 goals you bellend

Get rid of Wellens - absolutely dire. He should have handed his shirt to Parker at half time. You want to see how football is played from the midfield look no further.

I want assurances that when I get my season ticket for next season that Wellens is nowhere near the first team because if he is I will tear my hair out.
