foxesfan1989 Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 What would yours be? Who would you keep and who would you get rid of? Mine is: Kasp New RB Bamba New CB Konch Marshall Danns Drinkwater New LM Nugent New Striker Subs: Any 2 from: St Ledger, Morgan, Peltier Any 2 from: Gally, Dyer, King Any 1 from: Waghorn, Schlupp I think changing 4 from the starting 11 is fair, and i think that leaves us with a more than capable bench. I've got rid of players like Wellens and Beckford, harsh maybe, but you have to be slightly ruthless and i do not think these players will get us promotion next season. So what would yours look like??
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 I think Wes Morgan will be the main defender next season and it remains to be seen who will partner him.... We need a new wide player, a tough tackling centre mid and a RB to compete with Peltier. Maybe even another type of striker
m00nie Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Kasp Peltier Bamba Mills new lb Marshall Danns new mid New lw Nugent Beckford
Guest MattP Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Assuming the intention is a TOP TWO challenge Kasp New RB (like Pelts but no way top two standard) New CB Morgan/SSL (can't just have these two) Konch Marshall Wellens/Drinkwater (still need another top class championship CM) New CM New LM Nugent/Beckord (can't just have these two) New Striker So in short a new RB, centre back, centre midfielder, left winger and striker.

Decent shout to be fair although think Schlupp and Waggy will play a part too
eddylcfc Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Gk : Kasper Rb : McNaughton Cb : morgan Cb : Chester Lb : konchesky Cm : Danns Cm : Drinkwater Cam : snodgrass Lw : Marshall St : Nugent Rw : Stewart Subs St Ledger King Peltier Simon cox Dyer
Naylor118 Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 GK: Kasper RB: CB: Bamba CB: Mills LB: Konchesky RM: Marshall CM: Danns/Drinkwater (Very similar) CM: King LM: Dyer ST: Nugent/Beckford (Very similar) ST: Heskey Subs: Logan St Ledger Danns/Drinkwater Schlupp Beckford/Nugent Yes, I am serious about Heskey. Great target man, and his passion for OUR club might be the needed boost. I think McNaughton would be a GREAT shout, but I don't think we have much chance of getting him. I think Clyne, Trippier, Hodson or Halford Would all make suitable replacements at RB. King has had a hard time this year with injury but has been brilliant the last 09/10 + 10/11, He can't be left out. I think that to much rotation within the midfield may be ruining it. 09/10, it was King and Wellens throughout and we finished in the playoffs. Mills was never actually that bad. With a hard pre-season and a bit of sucking up I believe he could be vital for our new season.
Leicesterpool Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Kasper Peilter (still unsure if I want him here next season) St Ledger Mee Konchesky Whttingham Marshall Danns Dyer Vardy Nugent Bench- Fryatt Phillips Morgan Bamba Drinkwater
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Kasper New Right Back New Centre Back Mills Konchesky Marshall New Centre Mid Drinkwater New Left Mid Beckford Nugent
cityfanlee23 Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 same but with a new younger left back Nathaniel Clyne?
cc_star Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 If the remit is to challenge for the top 2 seriously Peltier, Drinkwater, Wellens, King, Dyer, Gally, Waghorn, Vassell are all more than adequate stand-ins
Happy Fox Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 If the remit is to challenge for the top 2 seriously Peltier, Drinkwater, Wellens, King, Dyer, Gally, Waghorn, Vassell are all more than adequate stand-ins You seriously think NP will play 4-3-3? NP's is a 4-4-2 man. Why have you left out Beckford and Nugent?
foxesfan1989 Posted 18 April 2012 Author Posted 18 April 2012 People seriously wanting to get rid of Nugent really shock me. Couldn't have done much more this season really, if Beckford had matched Nugent this season we might well have made the playoffs.

Don't see what Beckford does to merit a starting place, if left on the sidelines I think he'll be a negative influence I like Nugent, he's been anonymous for half a season other than running around a bit.... firing us into the top 2? He certainly could... could quite easily stick him in, A new forward with Marshall dinking around him & the power & pace of Schlupp?

If people dont want him then we really do have some deluded fans!!! Best striker we've had in years!
cityfanlee23 Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Cb - Chester, should get him Rb- Clyne If your going to have an attacking Rb, get a decent one.. Lw - Steward, dyer as sub Cf/ST - Heskey - Or any player like that, with beckford/nugent playing off him Bamba - If were going to play him atleast play him CAM (the last thing we need is him defending again) (Yaya toure spent most of his time as a CDM) Bannan - Could be potentially cheap, if not im sure he will come on loan! Both wingers whipping the ball into heskey or that type of player (Typical cart horse ) Not a massive amount of change 5 signings, (we will most likely ship out 4 anyway)

Asking to much for me, NP will adopt a standard 4-4-2 the imagination of fulfilling a 4-3-3 successively is too much for him imo For me this is a team we are likely to see I hope Kasper McNaughton Morgan Chester Konchesky Marshall Drinkwater Danns Snodgrass Nugent Madine Bench: Beckford, Pelts, St Ledger, Derry,Dyer King and reserve goalkeeper.

Father Ted Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Schmeichel NEW RB - NEW CB - St.Ledger - Konchesky Marshall - Danns - Drinkwater - NEW WINGER Nugent - Schlupp/NEW STRIKER Rest of squad: Adam Smith/Conrad Logan Liam Moore Morgan/Bolger/Parkes/Taft Dyer Wellens + NEW CM Hopper Schlupp/NEW STRIKER I really think that we should try and build a Nugent-Schlupp partnership, both work hard, both can hold the ball up, both give it everything and know where the back of the net is. They will compliment each other well, it has potential but NP is yet to see it.
darko2k7 Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Kasper Carlos Edwards Morgan New CB Konchesky Marshall Danns Drinkwater Vardy Joe Mason / Heskey. Nugent
bmt Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 GK: Schmeichel New RB CB: Chester CB: St Ledger CB: Konch RW: Ben Marshall CM: Drinkwater New CM New LW ST: Nugent ST: Beckford Subs: Peltier Morgan Wellens Dyer Schlupp 4 new players for the first 11. Would also try and get some hungry young players to thicken up the squad.
Leicesterpool Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 People keep saying Bannan, that seems very unlikely because he gets the Villa starting line up very often. If he does leave he'll more than likely go to Man U there somewhat very interested in him.
