Raw Dykes Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Kasper Schmeichel Nathan Clyne Sean St Ledger Paul Konchesky Neil Danns Richie Wellens Danny Drinkwater New Left Midfielder Ben Marshall David Nugent Jermaine Beckford Sol Bamba, Wes Morgan, Lloyd Dyer, Jeffrey Schlupp, Martyn Waghorn One centre half?! I think we'd be well and truly buggered on a regular basis. I do like the idea of using a central attacking midfielder, though. I think Marshall has played slightly better in the hole than he has out wide. I agree with most of the players you picked, but I'm not convinced about Beckford. I think we need a right back, a centre half, a midfield enforcer, a winger and a striker who can hold the ball up. nobody will come here to be bench warming, will they? one signing i can definitely see is gerrard I wouldn't worry about that. There are plenty of good players we could get who would expect to have to work to get into the team. I'm sure players like Marshall and Drinkwater weren't expecting to play for the first team so often so soon. It depends mostly on the age and reputation of the player. Generally, young players who aren't established at the level of the club they're joining won't expect to be in the starting XI every match.

Thats true, and I think we should play 3-4-1-2 because it will confuse opposition and hopefully get us points, we just need to have confidence in our defenders

It'd have to be three centre halves with wing backs, like MON used to use. I wouldn't expect to see it any time soon, though. It's something that would need a lot of work to pull off, and there's a big risk involved if it goes wrong.

Legend_in_blue Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 To anyone putting Wellens in their team... You do want promotion next season don't you? If we cant do better with the finances that we have at the club, there's something seriously wrong. We desperately need a quality CM. That has to be the priority alongside alternative options at LM, RB and ST.
Happy Fox Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Apparently Wellens is highly regarded by Andrew Neville if their is one man the owners should get rid of its him.

Daggers Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Oh by fvcking Christ. It's going to be an unbearably long summer.
kingfox Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Why are people still putting Mills in there teams. Jesus christ guys
steveherbe Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 If Wellens is in the team I will be furious. We need a really decent CM, a ball carrier, a winner, someone with pace, someone who can pick out a decent ball going forwards, not 3 yards sideways or backwards or some stupid dinked ball into the box ala Wellens. I believe Michael Johnson from Man City may be available on a season-long loan?

However, to get him plus the others you've mentioned, we'd spend a fortune!! Snodgrass wont come to us in a month of Sundays and cant see Hull letting us have any of their players cheap! We should look at loaning some Man Utd/Arsenal youngsters too, some good prospects there
