Leicester Lass Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 2-0 up at half time according to Howard's twitter.
Leicester Lass Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Waghorn & Howard with the goals. Edit: 3-0 Hopper.
Dan Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Tom Hopper scored? Must be better than Beckford then according to our fans. Can't complain at 3-0 up.
TrentFox Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 2-0 up at half time according to Howard's twitter. Must be a walk in the park if he can take his smartphone on the pitch and tweet as well as play ??
jonlcfc1990 Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Might see some players coming back in on Monday perhaps?
Leicester Lass Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 He says 'A few of the boys had a run out! Vassell, King, Schlupp, St Ledger, Waghorn, Mills, Kennedy, Logan.'
kingfox Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 He says 'A few of the boys had a run out! Vassell, King, Schlupp, St Ledger, Waghorn, Mills, Kennedy, Logan.' Mills  :@
Leicester Lass Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Mills  :@ Not a massive shock, he was due to play in the last reserve match against Kettering and only didn't because of illness. There might have been some scouts there, who knows
GingerrrFox Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Mills  :@ Why do you hate Mills so much kingfox?
jonlcfc1990 Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 So is it really all over for Mills? no more first team football?
Soar Fox Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Why do you hate Mills so much kingfox? But loves St Ledger so much
foxesfan1989 Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Ahhhh a goal from Waghorn is nice to hear again, he still has a future at LCFC i am certain of it.
Mark_w Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Great to see that Waghorn and Vassell got some game time, hopefully they'll make an appearance over the next two games.
kingfox Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Why do you hate Mills so much kingfox? He made me angry with his attitude in one home game this season, and I hate the way he plays really annoying and pees me off. Prefer St Ledger by a mile, because I think he is a much better player, and should get another chance in the side.
Dan Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 I'm no Mills fan but "hate the way he plays" If we'd signed St Ledger for £5mil, then a lot of people would be the same. SSL is horrifically over-rated by our fans, I don't think he's a bad player don't get me wrong but there's a reason defences him, Bamba and arguably Morgan are in continue to let us down time and time again. The price of Mills' transfer has done so much damage it's untrue.
Corky Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 He made me angry with his attitude in one home game this season, and I hate the way he plays really annoying and pees me off. Prefer St Ledger by a mile, because I think he is a much better player, and should get another chance in the side. Wasn't that the Reading game?
kingfox Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Wasn't that the Reading game? Probably, even though it was against his old club I have never seen such poor attitude by a player of ours, especially our captain. Was disgusting to witness in all honesty, blaming other players when things were his own fault. Nothing funny about my quote "I hate the way he plays", I don't, I can't stand all the hoof ball he plays, can't stand his passing abilities, a simple pass to the midfield goes a stray so often and his heading accuracy isn't much better. Hit and hoof isn't a way I like to watch, and Matt Mills seems to only play that way.
kingfox Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 What's "Hit and hoof"? Gets it, hit's it, hoof's it.
Corky Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Waghorn & Howard with the goals. Edit: 3-0 Hopper. Can't be, we're negative, predictable, NO GOALS.
Leicester Lass Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Martyn Waghorn scored on his return from injury as he completed 45 minutes of Thursday's friendly match against Notts County at King Power Stadium. A strong City side that included the likes of Andy King, Paul Gallagher and Sean St. Ledger emerged victorious in a convincing 3-1 win. Waghorn, who has been out since December due to a hamstring injury, looked lively all game and struck the crossbar in the opening five minutes. And the former Sunderland front-man had another chance at the near post, but his header was comfortably collected by the County goalkeeper. A goal for the forward seemed inevitable, though, and on the quarter-hour mark he hit the back of the net. A quick free-kick found King in plenty of space on the by-line and the Welsh international squared for Waghorn, who slotted in from eight yards - a welcome goal after his four-month absence. Steve Howard doubled City's lead with a fine curling finish half-an-hour later and young striker Tom Hopper rounded off Leicester's scoring with a low, angled drive in the 67th minute. County grabbed a goal with the last kick of the game, but it was only a consolation, as City saw off their East Midland rivals in a useful workout for several members of Nigel Pearson's squad. From the OS. No squad listing though, which is annoying.
