Happy Fox Posted 26 April 2012 Posted 26 April 2012 http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2749942,00.html? Kasper Schmeichel has vowed that City will learn from their inconsistencies this season and come back stronger next term. Ahead of the campaign's final game at former club Leeds United on Saturday, the Foxes goalkeeper admits the Blues have not shown their quality regularly enough during 2011/12 - a pivotal factor in City not making a stronger bid for promotion. But Schmeichel, one of a 12 new players to arrive at King Power Stadium last summer, says a pre-season of stability will help strengthen the squad under Nigel Pearson's guidance and prepare them for a Premier League bid in 2012/13. He said: "We obviously have the Leeds game to think about, but after that we've got to go away in the summer, reflect on this and learn from it. Next season we're going to need all the experiences we've had this season to rectify it. "As a squad it's a shame because we have a lot of potential, but you have to produce it in games on a consistent basis. "When we're good, we're very good, but when things aren't working for us we don't quite have that other side quite right. "In the summer I'm sure the gaffer will do what's needed to be done and I'm looking forward to seeing what he's got planned." While alterations to the squad can naturally be expected during the off-season, Schmeichel doesn't expect wholesale changes such as those seen last summer. But he places total faith his manager to get the balance of the squad right ahead of the new campaign. "Stability is what you need at a football club and, with the transition we've gone through, I think it's vital that we get that," Kasper said. "As a Club, we've got everything we need. We have great owners, a great manager and I hope now that he gets the chance to build a squad as he'd like it. "I'm very confident he knows what he wants, and what he wants will get us where we want to be."

MrSpaM Posted 26 April 2012 Posted 26 April 2012 Lets just hope he's still here next season ay, i can remember Ian Hume coming out with a similar thing when we got relegated and he was off a week later
Happy Fox Posted 26 April 2012 Author Posted 26 April 2012 Encouraging that Kasper plans to be here next season. He must have been reassured by the players we are potentially bringing in.
AyewJoking Posted 26 April 2012 Posted 26 April 2012 Yes but Kasper will only go somewhere better, Hume went to the mighty Barnsley.
MrSpaM Posted 26 April 2012 Posted 26 April 2012 Yes but Kasper will only go somewhere better, Hume went to the mighty Barnsley. Who were in the league above us...
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 April 2012 Posted 26 April 2012 Though I commend Kasper for publically supporting the manager, frankly I'm a bit bored of all the rhetoric that's been coming out from a number of players and the boss this season. Yes, I know they have to come across as positive, but I'll be happier to see better football on the pitch. It's easy to talk a good game.
Guest Posted 26 April 2012 Posted 26 April 2012 Shouldn't the title read - We will earn from this season.

Mack Posted 26 April 2012 Posted 26 April 2012 Kasper is a big asset to our Football Club. He's said and done the right things throughout. If we are serious about promotion we'd be fools to allow him to leave.
flowwolf Posted 26 April 2012 Posted 26 April 2012 I fvcking love Christina Ricci. X Tell you what I would have the deepest respect not to mention envy if you actually said " I love fvcking Christina Ricci "
