Our best 3 finishes in tournaments, 66, 90, 96, have all been with English managers so there is no evidence that English managers can't achieve as much as their foreign counterparts.

We've had 2 foreign managers and the best we've finished is quarter finals which is par for England. If we're not going to achieve anything then it might as well be with a reasonably priced Englishman as an over paid foreigner.

Aye, too much is made of the managers, our players have been generally not good enough and we've no chance of winning a tournament for a long while.

As for the media, who's that fat tosser who's on SSN every week talking about what's in the papers? I remember him talking about that Capello index rubbish, the papers were all crucifying him for it even though it meant nothing, and he was trying to defend them saying 'we're tired of England's tournaments being destroyed byt things like this, we are making a big deal out of it for the good of the country'
