sphericalfox Posted 19 May 2012 Posted 19 May 2012 I don't understand why anyone should mourn or question why he might be banned. Spending your time on the forum, with an average of probably 85% wummerised candour, 10% nasty inflammatory assertions and 5% deliberate generalisations, is worthy of a penalty in my view (note how I used percentages and not decimalisation). I don't agree with everything everyone says, and don't agree someone should be banned for having a conflicting and/or controversial opinion, but when it's deliberate right down to the name then I applaud the decision of the mods. David clearly wasn't/isn't a stupid person, yet chose to specifically to troll the boards with shite and wummery. He probably kicked Aguero on the way out the door.
Daggers Posted 19 May 2012 Posted 19 May 2012 Still, at least he's now free to take part in the Special Olympics.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 19 May 2012 Posted 19 May 2012 I'll say one thing for the guy and that is he really crystallised my belief in the importance of education. There but for the grace of God (and decent parents) go I and all that

I am Rod Hull Posted 19 May 2012 Posted 19 May 2012 He`s been banned? Looks like i`ll have to go back to Wikipedia for the answers to life`s little questions.

Some of us found him quite witty and humerous, it's a shame when that leaves.

21st Century Fox Posted 19 May 2012 Posted 19 May 2012 At least MooseBreath is posting more consistently now though. You never see Clark Kent and Superman in the same room either.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 19 May 2012 Posted 19 May 2012 Wow! I go away for a week and in that time someone manages to join the forum and get themselves banned after having a thread dedicated to them. Let me guess - it was Webbo wasn't it? We've created a monster. A monster I tell you!

Let me guess - it was Webbo wasn't it? We've created a monster. A monster I tell you! Where you bin Trav ? Somewhere nice ? I think getting banned in a week must be some sort of record ,. I doubt if Webbo had owt to do with it though .
Rincewind Posted 19 May 2012 Posted 19 May 2012 With him gone it will make debating harder as the average IQ has risen dramatically.
Webbo Posted 19 May 2012 Posted 19 May 2012 Where you bin Trav ? Somewhere nice ? I think getting banned in a week must be some sort of record ,. I doubt if Webbo had owt to do with it though . Nothing to do with me guv. I haven't seen the deleted post so I can't comment on why he was banned but he never offended me in any of the posts I did see.
BoneDog Posted 19 May 2012 Posted 19 May 2012 Is David the Caveman 'Dave the Caveman', or a different person? And if he's Dave then why did he change the name? Why the ban? I've seen some outrageous insults on here and a fair bit of other highly offensive language with no consequences. Davids post must have been in the extreme, or there has been a miscarriage of justice.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 19 May 2012 Posted 19 May 2012 Holbeach Hurn Zin, which is a village near Holbeach (a ghost town) which in turn is near to Spalding. And yes, it is in the middle of nowhere, but it's cheap to stay in my mum's caravan I'm wondering if he actually HAS been banned - all we have is another newcomer's word for it.

We know that: a) The post got deleted (it wasn't particularly insulting. more sarcastic) b) Moosebreath suddenly starts posting a lot more. c) David had a proclivity for attention seeking.
MC Prussian Posted 20 May 2012 Posted 20 May 2012 Can we now start asking David the Cave... I mean can we now start asking Moosebreath questions?
