My concern is that if you want to take out a country the size of England and decimate it for many years, you just need to fly a plane into a nuclear reactor....

Not sure that would work.  There is a **** load of concrete around a reactor.

You could be right.. as well as the initial impact, you of course then have the shock waves after... and that's what was the downfall of Fukishima.... I'm surprised they haven't at least tried....

Yeah, that wouldn't even leave a scratch - nuclear power reactors are built with good reinforcements, fly a jet into that at 500mph and the jet will just be atomised.

Without checking who was posting this, I thought you were El Empty for a second.

No, unlike El I know the difference between the structure of a nuclear power plant and of a normal office building (generally when you're sat on a couple of atomic bombs worth of fissionable material, you're going to want a more solid and reinforced structure than if you're storing someones stapler and printer paper).

I don't mean to be a boblet, but that's a much smaller jet that some of the bigger airliners we have around and carries a lot less fuel and passangers....

Hopefully we will never find out, though!

It's not really like fracking. With fracking you have to go where the gas is. With nuclear you just have to be by the sea. In any case, the location has already been decided many years ago.

I got you.It will be Ok then as long as you do not move to Margate.

You should be fine if you move to Margate really, it's quite far away from hinkley point. Unless they're going to build a nuclear power station there as well?
