I thought you had a job Fox92, or was it a temp position?

Well remembered... Yeah it was only a temp position. Was better than nothing, but now I'm starting over. I'll be starting university in September so I guess I'd need another temp job!

This seems appropriate in the circumstances :)

All the best with the job searching folks, it's never good.

Call centres are always hiring and all you need to be able to do is speak reasonable English.

and live in Mumbai.

Not sure if I fancy trying to get people buy into bad deals over the phone. I mean if I can't get people to buy my book what chance do I have of persuading them to buy crap?

At my temp. job, I worked in IT, at a call centre. They offered us the jobs for when we left but I rejected it. Didn't fancy the long hours (at that place they worked 11am - 8.00pm) and didn't fancy sitting in front of a computer talking on a phone all day... All the girls were good looking though which was/is a benefit.

I used to work at Sainsbury's and hated it, so I wouldn't go for Asda either. It might be different like, but at Sainsbury's if you didn't stick to what you should say you'd get a talking too. Also, some of the customers were ridiculous! One woman said to me 'this is £2', and I said 'yeah', and she goes 'its cheaper in Wilkinsons'. I'm like, wtf, I'm not owner of Sainsbury's.

Not sure if what you "fancy" is really the most important factor. I don't really fancy my job that much a lot of the time either, and I don't think many people do, but a job is a job and if you weren't lucky enough to live in a country where self-hating liberals were desperate to force hard working people into giving you their hard earned money then that kind of attitude would leave you on the scrapheap.

I know where you're coming from, but what's the point in applying (and maybe accepting) a job you've never wanted/fancied. No self motivation (apart from the cash), and you could be unhappy which may reflect on the job itself, colleagues, and more importantly; your family.

I was unemployed for 6 months after finishing my A-Levels, but have finally got a job (and a good one at that) now. I really sympathise with genuine jobseekers because it is very difficult.

My hours are 8am - 4:30pm. It's so bloody difficult getting up in the morning but am getting used to it now, and it's nice to feel 'useful' to the company and society in general.
