21st Century Fox Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Now why did you have to go and do that. Youve set me off. Hugs, please, someone, anyone
Fox92 Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Now why did you have to go and do that. Youve set me off. Hugs, please, someone, anyone Why do you love him so much? Average manager who overspent, and never even got us those wingers we needed.
Darkon84 Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Cheers mate haha. Why do you love him so much? Average manager who overspent, and never even got us those wingers we needed. Its more in a kinda cult way that I love him. Everyone has to love Sven to a degree.
Fox92 Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Its more in a kinda cult way that I love him. Everyone has to love Sven to a degree. Ok, I'm not going to knock you for it, I just don't understand it. As for me, personally, I don't love/like him.
foxesfan1989 Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18906348 Would you care if Sven joined Forest? Would you start wanting them to WIN!? Or would this mean you would start to villainise the Swede? (some LCFC fans already do this I know)
Leicfox Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Only if he spent millions and got them promoted. It can't happen though, can it?
foxesfan1989 Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 If he goes to Forest I will feel like a jilted lover. YOU NEVER REALLY LOVED US DID YOU SVEN
Danno Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 I've always wondered why they haven't been taken over until now, they need a few players in to start doing well again, proper club.
TrentFox Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Sousa salsa would be a much better option for Forest.
Guest Bilo Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Look Forest, Keane's your man for the dugout. Keane in charge of man management and tactics, perfect temperament for that, and Sven's careful spending policy as Director of Football would give Forest exactly what everyone wants to see.
cc_star Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Sven knows two things better than almost anyone How to earn untold riches through failing How to spend other people's money I'd have no problem with him going there, or managing any club that threatens to be there or thereabouts in our division, they'll have an initial uplift that an influx of new faces brings, then they'll be spilling points left, right & centre as the overwhelming number of new faces upsets the apple cart. Bring him on!
Leicesterpool Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 If he does go there best of luck to him, ye'h it will be tough to get use to but and the end of the day he tried his best for when he was here, hope he can prove us wrong!
smudger63 Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 I don't think he can get them up, he had money and freedom to bring in his own players here and got us no better than mid table. He certainly didn't learn from his mistakes at all, Sven just isn't the quality manager people thought he was... To be fair to him, when he was sacked we were only 2 points off the play offs, and Reading were 4 points off the play offs. They stuck with their manager and were promoted, we got rid and ended up mid table. I`m not saying Sven would have deffinitely got us promoted, but the truth is we will never know if given more time, he might have turned it round.
Guest MattP Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Its more in a kinda cult way that I love him. Everyone has to love Sven to a degree. I certainly don't, he's a cash obsessed mecenary but would quite happily fcuk over any football club in the world if he meant him getting a few quid.
foxesfan1989 Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Sounding like it's going to be Sean O'Driscoll not Sven...thats the current Crawley manager and Cotterills former number 2...how awkward for them.

cc_star Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Fvck over, how? Spend more money than they've got, play games with contracts to get improved deal, fail, then get his big fat contract paid off... been sacked from every job he's had in over the past 10 years I think. Despicable character, don't know why people (chairman & fans) fall for his con job... time after time after time. Perfect candidate for Forest's newly rich owners, fingers crossed he's appointed.
Brainy Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 I think the reason clubs pay him so much is because he is a very good manager. Just saying.

How do you think a football club is run??!! Managers aren't given a blank cheque book and told to do what they want. You can knock his choice of players but contracts and transfer fees are very rarely dictated by managers themselves. Don't remember him being sacked from Notts County, I do remember him waiving a multi-million pound contract.
Guest MattP Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Fvck over, how? Completely irresponsible in spending money, dolling out 3 year deals worth millions to players not needed just because players liking him was more important than the clubs financial position in the future, he treated the football club like a game on championship manager, I'm not saying the board are blameless, they showed their stupidity by appointing him in the first place, but a manager should still take some responsibility when he is literally throwing the football clubs money down the drain. I think the reason clubs pay him so much is because he is a very good manager. Just saying. Really? You would think that all the top clubs would be bringing him in wouldn't you rather than him having to apply for job at Leeds, Forest and Leicester? It's no co-incedence ever single job he had been appointed or considered for recently has been by the owners of clubs with a lot of cash to burn and not much experience in appointing managers. The man WAS a great manager, as were George Graham and Howard Wilkinson, but football has long since passed them by.

Conjecture He didn't spend the money, that was Andrew Neville who deals in the finances. Again knock his choice of players but the financial side and the length of contracts is down to Andrew Neville and the player's agent. The owner's showed naivety by allowing him the budget he had.

I agree but he still shoulders some of the blame. If I was your boss and I gave you £50 to buy me a box of Roses I'd be an idiot for allocating you that much but I'd still expect you to take some of the blame when you came back having spent the whole lot on two 2 chomps.

Why would there be blame for buying chomps instead of roses? Chomps are far superior to roses.
