NottsFox Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Read on the BBC that he has declared his interest in the Nottingham Forest job. Not that surprising in my opinion. Thoughts??
Corky Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 He's not a bad manager, he'll get them playing good football but I'd question them away from home and his signings are mixed. His best ones were the cheaper deals (Nugent, Schmeichel and Konchesky). Our fans will probably laugh if he went there but he may've learnt from his time with us and come back as an improved coach at this level.
Finnegan Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Hope he doesn't get it. I like Sven, he's a cracking personality and a good pro. Didn't quite live up to his billing here but they could do much, much worse.
MattyFromLE Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Sousa would be a much better option for Forest. Perhaps we should inform their new owners of the excellent management skills Sousa has?
indierich06 Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Abdulaziz Al-Hasawi has said Forest are keen to appoint a manager who understands Championship football: "It is very important for the manager to have good knowledge of this league and the teams involved in it."They must also have an understanding when it comes to working with a club and developing it. "We are looking for somebody with a strong CV, with a lot of experience. We want somebody who has good, strong character to come in and inspire the players." Doesn't particularly describe Sven, does it? They should get Davies back, that'd keep the fans happy and he'd probably do a decent job. Although I obviously hope they fall flat on their faces, so hopefully they'll appoint Iain Dowie and sign Carl Cort, Elvis Hammond, Robbie Neilson and Junior Lewis.
LCFC FOX Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Yeah they will get some big names. Sooner them have Mcleish , Keane , Sousa someone like that.
LCFC FOX Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Abdullah al Jassar â€@a_aljassar Swedish coach Eriksson proposing his services to manage Nottingham Forest, will be clarified officially today. #NFFC
LcFc_Smiv Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 I'd actually feel kind of sorry for them if it happened, the bloke goes where the money is.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 From County to Forest. The Magpies will love him!
Darkon84 Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 , Typical Sven. I can see the start of the press conference now..... ''Well, errrr Ive errr always been a big fan of NottingHAM Forest, they have errr many good players...'' Svens generic line about any club he is interested in/club that is interested in him. Still love the guy though.
Head Honcho Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Read on the BBC that he has declared his interest in the Nottingham Forest job. Not that surprising in my opinion. Thoughts?? "declared his interest" or lazy journalist you decide!
Jaspa Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Why does he keep doing things that make him look so desperate ?
LcFc_Smiv Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 "declared his interest" or lazy journalist you decide! Considering SSN broke the news about it last night.....
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Top bloke and the nicest bloke I have met in football. As for the Florist job Svens record stands head and shoulders above all those being linked I think. I wonder what a £5 double on Sven & Darius Vassell joining by Sept? Either way we will still Fvck Um Up come November
Head Honcho Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Considering SSN broke the news about it last night..... Bit of a non story though! Wouldn't you agree?
m00nie Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 could do with him not taking it really.. he knows a bit about the league now so wont be so naive, can still pull in some players where ever he goes. if he got them up with the new owners backing he could spend a bit in the prem where his passing game would work well..
LcFc_Smiv Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Bit of a non story though! Wouldn't you agree? Well it does look like an easy story, however we know how a big money job would attract him, he may feel he has something to prove within this league.
Fox92 Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 I don't 'love' him or anything like that. Just another manager. Not really interested if he does or doesn't take it, but I knew his name would start being mentioned.
rico Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Why does he keep doing things that make him look so desperate ?
Guest shearfox Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 could do with him not taking it really.. he knows a bit about the league now so wont be so naive, can still pull in some players where ever he goes. if he got them up with the new owners backing he could spend a bit in the prem where his passing game would work well. I don't think he can get them up, he had money and freedom to bring in his own players here and got us no better than mid table. He certainly didn't learn from his mistakes at all, Sven just isn't the quality manager people thought he was...
Raw Dykes Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 I wouldn't worry about Florist as a threat if he ended up there. Maybe he did learn something about this division from his time here, but I think we were getting worse over time after we won 5 in a row two seasons ago. I suppose it could depend on how much money he's allowed to spend. If he's given a budget that allows him to borrow a team of PL players again, they would probably do well for a bit, but if he has to buy permanent signings, I wouldn't expect them to do much better than we did at the beginning of last season.
Darkon84 Posted 19 July 2012 Posted 19 July 2012 Now why did you have to go and do that. Youve set me off. Hugs, please, someone, anyone
