Where is Harry Panayiotou?

After scoring at Leeds I thought we'd be hearing a lot more of him!

I know, who'd have thought he'd be left out of so many games since scoring the winner at Leeds!!!

Just a hunch, but I reckon it could be something to do with the fact they've been on holiday!!!

We've seen and read about other of our players in pre-season, but not seen him on any of the pics or heard his name mentioned.

lol lol lol wounded!!!

He's only a youngster so I doubt he's going to feature highly in the few stories we've had about pre-season. They're going to focus more on new signings and established players. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll hear/see enough about him once the season kicks off!!!

I don't want to sound miserable at all but the ball hit him, it him and went in. Yes it was his goal but it wasn't all that.

Tom Hopper is the better player I imagine as Pearson felt he could introduce him in a game that actually mattered - the only reason people aren't raving about Hopper is because he hasn't scored yet.

Harry still has alot to learn his strike rate in acedemy is stupidly high he was getting between 2-3 goals each game at a point last season ... But obv loans will help him as said wasnt a goal he created just a lucky tap. Hopper and blyth are above him

Don't think we'll see too much of him this season. Was only involved because it was last game.

I tend to agree, it's great to see one of our academy players score a goal for us on his debut, but lets not get carried away, he's not going to be our saviour because the ball hit him and went in against Leeds in a meaningless match. It's great for him, but he still has a long way to go before he's ahead of Beckford/Nugent/Waghorn/Vardy/Schlupp, even Hopper.

Panayiotou looks like a more fast skillfull player than Hopper.

That doesn't mean he's better overall. I'm sure there are a lot of players in the championship who are faster and more skillful than Grant Holt but Holt has scored 15 goals in the prem and a lot of those more skilful players have not.

I know but come on, an academy product scoring on his debut. If the ball hit me and went in on my debut, I'd be claiming it, no question.

No one is trying to deny him the goal, just stating that it doesn't mean he should be instantly ahead of youngsters like Schlupp and Hopper. It's a great moment for him absolutely but people shouldn't get carried away, he has still got a long way to go.

And I fully understand that. I don't think nodody think's one youngster is better than another, I mean, Schlupp scored a hat trick on his debut as well.

I agree with Mark, of course it was his goal but one goal doesn't make him a great player. It seems that people think he's a better player than Hopper purely because he has a goal to his name and Hopper doesn't, I don't think this a fair assumption to make.

...plus. Unless you have been to an academy game - you can't surely judge from the 15 minutes we saw against Swindon?

Pearson introduced Hopper into a game that mattered, this would indicate that he has more confidence in him than Panayioutou. Hopper is also captain of the academy team which suggests he's a pretty capable player.

I don't know for sure which of them is the better player but I don't like the common assumption that Panayiotou is miles ahead just because the ball hit him and went in - and that really is the reason for it too, people have this belief purely because Hopper has one less goal than Panayioutou. Whereas if you look at other evidence (the stuff I said in the first paragraph) you'd think that Hopper is perhaps the better player as the coaching staff seem to have greater confidence in him.

Hoppers older than Panayiotou so you'd expect him to be ahead of him anyway
