cambridgefox Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 still nothing, had no reply to my complaint either It gets worse, not good enough.
dannythefox Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Its shit there not out yet! But if everyone who had a membership used there card in the shop and bought a shirt etc the club would of lost thousands in the early weeks so I can see why they do it but its not good for the fans. Oh and I'm so pleased i've paid £35 plus a £1 booking fee for the peterborough game but this is what happens when you have fancy ticket systems and a change of food in the stadium! Rip off!

Jeez, that is a rip off for saying ive just done a 70 hour week in a reasonably paid job, i honestly cant afford that (well more i cant justify spending that much) Still no news on the memberships, and still no reply to my complaint

Not me. I normally get a shirt for my birthday but I wouldn't let the missus buy one until I got a membership. If they're not out by the next home match they can stuff their shirts and stuff their tickets too.
Foxfromburbage Posted 17 August 2012 Posted 17 August 2012 They might get there act together when the attendance v pboro is low..
Anish Posted 17 August 2012 Posted 17 August 2012 Sadly there are only a few of us Members (or former Members!) on this board and the club have probably calculated that they don't need the support of members - it's either fleece the STHs through the pricey season tickets or rob the occasional fan through the extortionate matchday prices (even £25 for the cheapest adult ticket for the Peterborough match is a rip off). I've complained to Jim ([email protected]) and received no response. I've decided that if the club aren't going to release memberships then instead of going to 7-10 home games a season I'll probably just go to 4 or 5. And those will be the cheap Tuesday night/Sunday SKY matches when the club will no doubt drop prices to draw a respectable crowd when otherwise it would be a 16,000 attendance.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 20 August 2012 Author Posted 20 August 2012 i complained again today (original complaint 14th Aug) and got a phone call back from Jim at 1647hrs. No definitive answer about when the Memberships are out but apparently the first proposal for memberships was rejected by the person in charge - hopefully so that we getter a better deal?

Anish Posted 20 August 2012 Posted 20 August 2012 The first proposal was rejected so they probably thought f**k it we can't be arsed with the memberships. Still no memberships even after the season has kicked off is amateur. At this rate I might just start a one man boycott and not bother going at all this season as a protest. The worst thing is that nobody can even provide a rational explanation. This is meant to be a professional football club with a multi million pound turnover and they can't get the basics of ticketing and communication right.

LE15 Posted 23 August 2012 Posted 23 August 2012 My cousin lives on south coast and has a membership, When we played Chelsea in the cup rang up to see if they had got any returns and was told by the person in the ticket office he couldn't have one because he was a member and if he was a proper supporter he would have season ticket. And basically told him membership points didn't count for anything.

I work 24/7 shifts including Christmas Day/Boxing Day/New Years Day etc etc, like i am sure many other people do, so unless i pay for a season ticket but then cant go to at least 2/3 of the games, i am not a proper supporter. That makes me spit feathers
Anish Posted 24 August 2012 Posted 24 August 2012 Just to give you all an update - I spoke to Jim today. Basically the heads of the departments have to put forward a proposal for matchday tickets/season tickets/memberships during the summer - these proposals go to the board of directors, chairman etc. The membership proposal was rejected by the board although Jim didn't explain what the proposal was or why it was rejected. However, apparently there will be another proposal submitted next week for memberships (possibly Tuesday) so Jim said there may be some news after that meeting. I don't know why the club can't stick to the way they've done memberships before - no matches, 2 match tickets, 5 match tickets or 10 match tickets. Hardly rocket science!

AoWW Posted 28 August 2012 Posted 28 August 2012 Hmm, so what are the odds on seeing any details of the membership packages this side of Christmas?

Trav Le Bleu Posted 28 August 2012 Posted 28 August 2012 One thing I've noticed about the new owners and it's that they don't seem to like memberships. For years we had the same system (become a member, get cheaper tickets and money off at the club) but every year since they've been here it's been something different. Not happy.

AoWW Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 There was me, convinced *cough* there'd be some mention of membership options in this week's LCFC e-newsletter, but, erm, no........
Anish Posted 1 September 2012 Posted 1 September 2012 Screw the club. If they are going to treat every single non-season ticket holder alike, regardless of the regular support that members give them, then they've lost one regular customer in me. I'll go along to the cheap matches when the club know they won't get the usual attendance and take advance of their offers, but I won't be paying £25+ for the bog standard games. So much for being a loyal member for all of my adult life.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 1 September 2012 Posted 1 September 2012 Hopefully they trying to judge the mood by attendences and Blackpool attendence will sen the message that they need to introduce some heavy reductions.
