Colin said he'd been great in pre season and was inspiring with his attitude and cajouling .

I hope we won't regret losing the lad !

Probably given the captaincy as he has big club experience playing FA Cup quarter finals against the Champions League winners with Leicester City

Except he is not a lad and will never make a prem player and was only a average Championship player. We already have a far superior right back as witnessed on on Saturday who really is a lad.

he is a decent player who didn't contribute enough to improve the team. not a bad player but not a stand out player either.

his positive attribute is that he can play at championship level. his negative attribute was he was poor (slow) at tracking back. which is strange because he isn't a slow runner

Don't get all the fuss.

He was average for us, along with most of the squad. Doesn't make him a bad player, and fair play if he's captain at Leeds, they are a big club with a good manager currently in charge. We've moved on, let it be.

Seriously starting to think Warnock has never watched him play... Average right back becomes Leeds Captain and centre back. Hmmm.

No Babs, what we do is talk up players who leave who weren't that popular whilst playing down the abilities of players still here.

No doubt when Gallagher goes and scores a screamer in his first game there will be a thread asking "Why didn't he do that for us! Did we use him in the right way?"

if you're going to make a thread then write more, other than 9 words.

Sorry..next time, can I consult you on how many words are acceptable to you ?..don't want to offend..I thought bervity was a good thing..

I seem to be one of the few on here who wouldn't be at all surprised if Colin gets Leeds playing well this season. It's no surprise to me the bookies have them to make the play offs.

I also would not be surprised if he gets Peltier punching above his weight. Making him skipper could be a good ploy.

From what I've seen of DeLaet so far though, I think he's better than Peltier, so nowt lost IMO.

Peltier was ok, nothing else. But I think he tried his best for City. Good luck to the boy. As long as we finish above Leeds then no harm done.

Average player who started well but went downhill in the 2nd half of the season. Interesting choice as captain to be honest, especially as he has only had one average season at this level and isn't technically outstanding.

That said, Warnock has an amazing record at this level, so it will probably end up being an inspired decision!

I think Leeds will be relegated or at least finish bottom half, they have a worse team than last year and a manager intent on causing controversy.

As if he played CB too. I played with the 18 year old who played RB for them on Saturday. Amazing how I played with him and now he's playing infront of 20k. Just been given a 3 year contract too.

Yeah it's bizarre, confidence player that may need to be dropped to the bench at some juncture........ Plus he's young and has limited experience at this level.

Bright lad though, really likeable - maybe with all the ego's in the northern dressing room this may prove to be a Warnock masterstroke..... hmm.
