ACF Posted 16 September 2012 Posted 16 September 2012 Schmeichel 7.5 - Didn't think he could do much about the goals, made a couple of decent saves. Konch 6 - Was absolute dog shit, poor marking for both goals, he scored the absolute screamer, then grew in confidence, and was able to put in some decent balls. His performance after the goal suggests we shouldn't drop him quite yet, but we definitely need that second option on the bench. Morgan 7 - Was our best defender, solid Moore 6.5 - This might be harsh on the lad, as he didn't really do much wrong. I think it's time he had a break, and we put a more experienced head in there for a bit. RDL 7- Defensive wise, average. His attacking in the 2nd half caused the Wolves defence all sorts of problems. Can put in a wicked ball. Defence notes: MARKING AT SET PIECES, ITS NOT THAT HARD. Dyer 5 - Ineffective. King N/A Wasn't playing bad until he came off though. DD 7.5 - Copped a lot in the match thread because he misplaced a lot of passes. He did connect with more than a fair share, and did a lot of work in the midfield. We were always going to be out-muscled with Henry & Doumbia, but when they sat back, he did well. Marshall 7 - First half dangerous, but disappeared for large portions in the second. Nuge 6 - Too many chances wasted for me, needs to just bury them Vardy 5 - He played? Subs James 7.5 Passed it round well, our only player who made no mistakes (well I can't remember anything he did wrong) Knocky 8 Our best player, NEEDS TO START. Was everywhere, this guy has absolute flair, and changed the game when he was brought on. Waghorn 6.5-7 Hit the post, was unlucky with a couple of chances, no doubt he'll cop it for that. I moaned when he came on, but he didn't really do much wrong to be fair. Was limping with 10 to go.
HitchinFox Posted 16 September 2012 Posted 16 September 2012 Schmeichel 7 Not to blame for either goal, although might have saved Stearman’s shot on another day with one of his “how did he do that†miracles. A couple of standard saves – must be disappointed to have conceded twice when he didn’t really put a foot wrong. De Laet 7 Good crosses, good defending, worked hard. Marking was first class. Definitely an improvement on what Peltier would have offered. Moore 5 Doesn’t look like a Championship defender yet. Too hit and miss. A really bad game – didn’t mark Ebanks-Blake for first goal and looked decidedly dodgy with the ball. Nearly scored a ridiculous own goal when couldn’t control the ball in the end. Morgan 8 Another solid game. Two mistakes but made up for them. Solid again, great blocks, dispossessed Doyle a number of times like he wasn’t there and dominated the airspace. The best defender we’ve had for years. Konch 8 What a goal. But aside from that did well in other areas too. A couple of decent runs and although the final ball was (again) missing, defended well. Dyer 4 Dyer by name….Invisible for most of the time and when he did get the ball was awful. Surely now Knockaert has done enough to dislodge Dyer from the starting XI Drinkwater 6 Misplaced passes, a couple of pointless longshots when an easy pass would have kept the attack moving. Worked well off the ball though and always in space. King 5 Could’ve scored before early shower due to some sort of injury. Is the man made out of glass? James 6 Went missing too often and seemed day dreaming when off the ball. Did nothing with the ball either. Needs to improve massively if he’s to play any part in this team. Marshall 7 Our main creative threat along with Knockaert. Needs work on set pieces but excellent on the ball, fabulous runs off it. Knockaert 7 Livened things immediately in the second half when he was brough on for the woeful Dyer. If he didn’t do enough to earn a spot in the starting XI then what does he have to do? Blow Pearson? Vardy 4 Poor, poor, poor. Looked out of his depth and added nothing to the game. Came to deep into midfield to receive the ball – possible due to frustration at lack of distribution. But the main reason for that lack of distribution was that he didn’t make the right runs, was never in space and frankly, didn’t look like he knew what he was doing. Nugent 6 Lively but no t-shirt. Did what was expected apart from score - which is pretty much what strikers are for. Waghorn 6 Could’ve or should’ve scored when he hit the post? Either way, should’ve done better.

foxesfan1989 Posted 16 September 2012 Posted 16 September 2012 How drinkwater is getting above about a 3 is beyond me, worst player on the pitch. Did he find a man all game?

Mark_w Posted 16 September 2012 Posted 16 September 2012 From TV Kasper - 6 - Average. De Laet - 6 - Did ok, crosses weren't great most of the time, very poor defending for the goal. Morgan - 8 - He's fantastic. Moore - 5 - Thought he was very poor, but he's very inexperienced it was bound to happen eventually. Konchesky - 6 - Very poort, but he gets a 6 for the magnificent goal. Marshall - 6 - A couple of typically great shots, wasn't great overall though. King - N/A Drinkwater - 6 - Average, couple of decent crosses but didn't offer much. James - 6 - Did a good job coming on I think, but again nothing special. Dyer - 6 - Didn't get many oppertunities on the ball, looked alright on the few occasions he did. Knockaert - 7 - Looked pretty dangerous coming on, think it's safe to say he'll be starting on Wednesday. Nugent - 6 - Average Vardy - 6 - Average Waghorn - 6 - Average
topharry123 Posted 16 September 2012 Posted 16 September 2012 Schmeichel 7 - Couldn't do anything about the goals and made a couple of good saves De Laet 6.5 - Started poorly but put in some excellent crosses Morgan 7.5 - Our only solid defender this season so far Moore 5 - Poor game can do much better Konchesky 5.5 - Great goal but doesn't look like the player he was even last season Marshall 6 - Got involved a lot but didn't shine today Drink water 5 - Very poor performance, looked frustrated King 5 - Not on for long, didn't shine James 5 - If I hadn't seen him come on I wouldn't have known he was on the pitch Dyer 6 - Good pace again but really needs to add more to his game Knockaert 8.5 - Outstanding performance when he came on. Has to start the next game. Most exciting player in an LCFC shirt for many years Nugent 5 - Nothing worked today and looks like he is lacking in confidence Vardy 5.5 - Looked lively for a while but didn't impress Waghorn 5 - Should have drawn us level, not sure why he came on when we have Futcas and Beckford on the bench
cambridgefox Posted 16 September 2012 Posted 16 September 2012 All 6's apart from: Morgan 7 James 7 Knockaert 8 No one can ever suggest Knockaert shouldn't start over Lloyd. Pearson does. Some of his decisions baffle me,but I won't get on his back. Will be interesting to see the line up on Wednesday.

Kitchandro Posted 16 September 2012 Posted 16 September 2012 SCHMEICHEL - 5.5 - Too much booting it as hard as he can without thinking. We will never win headers against sides like Wolves. DE LAET - 4 - 2 good crosses, other than that wank MORGAN - 8 - our only good defender on the day MOORE - 1 - Fvcking dog turd, no idea what people see in him, send him back to the reserves KONCHESKY - 3 - He gets the 3 for his goal. Useless bastard. MARSHALL - 3 - Turd. Forget to bring his first touch with him today. DRINKWATER - 1 - As bad as any performance I've seen from one of our central midfielders. If we had any quality central midfielders to replace him he'd be dropped in a second. KING - 3 - Did fvck all until he was subbed, showed no balls, didn't dare shoot when he had the chance and failed as a creative and defensive force. DYER - 4 - Too lightweight, did nothing. NUGENT - 3 - Turd VARDY - 3 - Turd. First touch is lower than conference standard. SUBS KNOCKAERT - 7 - somewhat encouraging, looked very dangerous at times and created two great chances. He saw a lot of the ball and was wasteful as often as he was impressive. He's better than Dyer. WAGHORN - 4 - He's become embarrassing, you just knew he was going to miss that chance and just before that he miskicked it under no pressure. Other than that did nothing. JAMES - 6 - Didn't do a lot wrong but lets face it, he's pointless. No significant role in the side.
kingfox Posted 16 September 2012 Posted 16 September 2012 From TV. Schmeichel 7 - Some good saves and catches De Laet 6 - Struggled in parts today, got forward well though Morgan 7 - Dominated again tbh, other defenders let him down Moore 5 - Struggled all day against Ebanks-Blake, poor game today Konchesky 6 - Absolutely woeful up until his goal then he played well Marshall 7 - Dangerous in parts but crosses let him down Drinkwater 5 - Passing was very off today, poor game King 6 - Did well and was one of our better players until injury Dyer 5 - Not good enough again, hardly in the game Vardy 6 - Lively again, but his first touch was woeful Nugent 6 - Lively, but little things are letting him down, lacking confidence James 6 - Average performance Knockaert 8 - MOTM, dangerous and made us play better, start him against Burnley Waghorn 5 - Not good enough anymore

Hammered them! A few things just weren't clicking and a few players were being selfish but apart from that you played well. Just thought I'd chuck that in.. very frustrating to watch though!

Corky Posted 16 September 2012 Posted 16 September 2012 Knockaert was our best player, De Laet was ok, the rest of them were poor.

Hammered them! A few things just weren't clicking and a few players were being selfish but apart from that you played well. Just thought I'd chuck that in.. very frustrating to watch though! Can you provide a reason for Waggy getting a 7 and Drinkwater an 8? I agree, but it would be good to hear an outsider's perspective.
Kitchandro Posted 16 September 2012 Posted 16 September 2012 Still no idea how you've not won that match. Hammered them! A few things just weren't clicking and a few players were being selfish but apart from that you played well. We didn't hammer them, they went 2-0 up and then we were in their half for most of the second half. Hammering them would be dominating for 90 minutes and creating numerous great chances. But we didn't. We were worse than them in the first half and couldn't hang on to the ball, and then in the second we saw a lot of the ball and did mostly nothing with it. We deserved to lose that game, absolutely no complaints.
Night Air Posted 16 September 2012 Posted 16 September 2012 From TV Schmeichel 7 De Laet 6 Morgan 8 Moore 5 Konchesky 6 Marshall 7 Drinkwater 4 King 6 Dyer 5 Vardy 6 Nugent 4 James 5 Knockaert 9 Waghorn 6 Those are mine, Knockaert was simply brilliant and if he doesn't start next game I'll be suprised if he decides to stay with us, as he couldn't have done much better today and if he sees that Dyer is keeping him out the side then I'd imagine he'd be pissed off.
