isaidno Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Chelmsford beating Colchester is the biggest shock today. Harrogate winning at Torquay aswell
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 BPA out losing at Donny. Hume on score sheet for them. Glad Notts C are still in it too.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 FA Cup Second Round draw in full: Preston v Gillingham Bury v Southend Sheffield Utd v Port Vale Carlisle v Bournemouth Crewe v Burton/Altrincham Northampton/Bradford v Brentford Luton/Nuneaton v Dorchester/Plymouth Alfreton v Gloucester/Leyton Orient Oldham v Doncaster Braintree/Tranmere v Chesterfield Rotherham v Notts County Cheltenham v Hereford Guiseley/Barrow v Macclesfield Accrington v Oxford Lincoln/Walsall v Mansfield/Slough Harrogate Town v Hastings Coventry v Morecambe/Rochdale Cambridge City/MK Dons v York/AFC Wimbledon Crawley v Chelmsford Fleetwood v Aldershot No prizes for guessing the stand out tie in that draw. Some guaranteed non-league representation in Round 3 as well, standard.
Corky Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 ITV will be desperate for MK v Wimbledon, and again get the other possible game, like a couple of years ago. Cambridge City v York will be massive.
isaidno Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 My uncle supports Alfreton town, orient at home is a big tie. Good chance of it being televised
Soar Fox Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 My uncle supports Alfreton town, orient at home is a big tie. Good chance of it being televised My mate plays for alfreton. Hope they get Gloucester to be honest better chance of getting to the 3rd round.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 As much as the neutrals want to see MK v AFC, the fans of AFC really do not want it and neither do the club it seems. It seems as though they're reacting to concerns that they might 'underperform' against York to avoid having to go to MK and have released a statement already. We wish to release the following statement about a potential second round tie at Milton Keynes, which would be played on the weekend of 1/2 December. “AFC Wimbledon is a fan-owned club. We are proud of that fact and also that we returned to the Football League the proper way, rising through the football pyramid. While we would rather not have been drawn in this tie, like everything we do, we will approach this game in a professional manner if it happens. Therefore, we are committed to fulfilling this potential fixture on 1/2 December, in accordance with the rules of the competition.†In a sense, I kind of hope it doesn't happen. Virtually no AFC fans will travel to Milton Keynes and make Winkleman richer, so the atmosphere won't be the cauldron some would have expected. If it happens and goes to a replay however, Kingsmeadow on a Tuesday night against that lot will be much more visceral.

I wouldn't go to it if I were a AFC fan. No chance.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 Good luck selling these at Kingsmeadow if it happens and goes to a replay.

I saw a tweet today that sums it up as follows: Dear everyone - no I'm not excited we've drawn them. It's ****ing shit. I don't ever want to play them. I don't think they should exist.

I don't ever want to play them. I don't think they should exist. Didn't realise there hatred was that strong. Fair play to them.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 Good luck selling these at Kingsmeadow if it happens and goes to a replay. That man's quite the legend, travels over from Ukraine for home games. Neither side wants this to happen, the best case scenario is the game becomes a huge ****ing media circus and no more. Whatever happens the game won't end up being about football.
purpleronnie Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 I reckon theres a large percentage of MK and AFC fans who do want this to happen...its football its about rivalry and playing teams you hate.....its natural for football fans of either club to want this to happen and I certainly do as a neutral..

Maybe but I doubt they'd admit it publicly, especially the Wimbledon supporters.

Honestly it's a huge banana skin for both clubs. There are very few ways where the clubs will come out of it well in all honesty. There'll always be that element of wanting to play them, but for most of us it's really something that we'll want to avoid. I probably won't go if we win our respective replays. It'll be a farce and something I want no part in.
BoneDog Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 My uncle supports Alfreton town, orient at home is a big tie. Good chance of it being televised I'm hopefully going to the second round match. Don't live far away. Last gasp equalizer from burton 3-3 Thank f*&k for Calvin Zola!
Soar Fox Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 Can someone explain to me why it will be a farce and people don't want them to play each other?
BoneDog Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 Can someone explain to me why it will be a farce and people don't want them to play each other? Not sure. They might aswell get it over with 'cos it's going to happen sooner or later. I'd be gagging for it if I was a Wimbledon fan.
Kitchandro Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 Whether they think they should exist or not, they'd be bloody delighted if they beat them, we all know they would.
Voll Blau Posted 5 November 2012 Posted 5 November 2012 That man's quite the legend He's not, he's a moron.
