Guest Bilo Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Kidderminster Harriers v Oldham Athletic Hayes & Yeading or Boreham Wood v Brentford Chelmsford City or East Thurrock v Colchester United Metropolitan Police v Crawley Town Luton Town v AFC Telford U or Nuneaton Town Portsmouth v Notts County Bishop's Stortford v Hastings United Fleetwood Town v Bromley Forest Green Rovers or Dartford v Port Vale Torquay United v Hyde or Harrogate T AFC Bournemouth v Dagenham & Redbridge Morecambe v Rochdale Swindon Town v Macclesfield Town Cambridge City v Milton Keynes Dons Cheltenham Town v Yate Town or Newport County Dorchester Town v Plymouth Argyle Coventry City v Arlesey Town York City v AFC Wimbledon Bury v Exeter City Chesterfield v Hartlepool United Doncaster Rovers v Bradford Park Avenue Gillingham v Scunthorpe United Aldershot Town v Hendon Lincoln City or FC Halifax Town v Walsall Wrexham v Alfreton Town Southend United v Stockport County Crewe Alexandra v Wycombe Wanderers Bristol Rovers v Sheffield United Hereford United v Shrewsbury Town Mansfield Town v Slough Town or Gosport Borough Barnet v Oxford United Rotherham United v Stevenage AFC Fylde or Ilkeston Town v Accrington Stanley Gloucester City v Leyton Orient Burton Albion v Altrincham Guiseley v Barrow Northampton Town v Bradford City Preston North End v Yeovil Town Braintree Town v Tranmere Rovers Carlisle United v Ebbsfleet United One or two decent ties for non-league clubs, and there is a guarantee of a number of non-leaguers in the hat for Round 2. Coventry v Arlesey stands out, as does the Metropolitan Police making the 1st Round Proper. Wonder what they'll have to pay for policing costs.... Also hoping Cambridge City do the business against League One opposition, along with Dorchester Town.
kingfox Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Now this is proper football, Sunday afternoon sat down with Sunday dinner watching FA Cup first round football. Absolutely love it. I follow Exeter as I have family down there, very winnable away tie, also they have Matt Oakley and Elliot Chamberlain on their books.
ScouseFox Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Bristol Rovers managed to get probably the hardest tie in the hat. Bugger.
Happy Fox Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Doncaster v Bradford Park Avenue should be a decent game.
Jagdinho Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Metropolitan Police v Crawley Town.. There's an actual team called Metropolitan Police? Is this a team from the police force or what?
Lamby Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Metropolitan Police v Crawley Town.. There's an actual team called Metropolitan Police? Is this a team from the police force or what? It is yes
kingfox Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Metropolitan Police v Crawley Town.. There's an actual team called Metropolitan Police? Is this a team from the police force or what? Have you never heard of the Met Police football team. Seriously?
Jagdinho Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Have you never heard of the Met Police football team. Seriously? Nope, I now feel like a badly educated football fan. I'm ashamed of myself.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Doncaster BPA is a decent local draw. Best one is Cambridge City v MK, would like to have gone to that if not for LCFC at Watfird.
RowlattsFox Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Might go and see AFC Fylde against Accrington if they get through the replay against Ilkeston
Voll Blau Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Might go and see AFC Fylde against Accrington if they get through the replay against Ilkeston Same. Their ground's out in the sticks a bit though isn't it? Hereford v Shrewsbury is a good derby draw, as would be Chelmsford v Colchester if the former get through.
Lamby Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Tempted to go Dartford on tuesday to see the replay against FGR, but only problem is that if it goes to Extra Time then I'd miss the last train home and have to spend 2 hours on buses home <_<
kingfox Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 I suppose Cambridge v MK Dons and Met Police v Crawley will be the televised games. Unless they have been decided already?
RonnieTodger Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Met Police actually have a player on loan from Crawley! Bet he's gutted. Coventry playing Arsenal then Arlesey in the space of a couple of months . Love English football.
isaidno Posted 25 October 2012 Posted 25 October 2012 Three FA Cup with Budweiser First Round ties have been chosen for live TV broadcast. ESPN kick off their coverage with Cambridge City v MK Dons on Friday 2 November at 7.30pm. The Southern League Premier Division side booked their place in the First Round with a 3-2 win at AFC Totton on Saturday, thanks to goals from Dave Theobald, Adrian Cambridge and David Prada. Following that tie, ITV will air Braintree Town v Tranmere Rovers on Sunday 4 November at 12.30pm. Managed by Ronnie Moore, Tranmere are the highest ranked team in the competition with a healthy four point lead over Stevenage at the top of League One. Braintree beat ten-man Lowestoft Town 3-2 at their Cressing Road ground on Saturday to enter the First Round stage. The Iron are managed by former West Ham United stalwart Alan Devonshire and won the Conference South title in 2010-11. ESPN conclude the weekend’s FA Cup ties with Dorchester Town v Plymouth Argyle, also on Sunday 4 November, at 4.30pm. The Dorset club left it late to beat Suffolk’s Bury Town with Nick Crittenden and Ben Watson scoring in the final few minutes to seal a 3-1 win for the Magpies. The live FA broadcast fee is £63,800 per club.
cambridgefox Posted 2 November 2012 Posted 2 November 2012 Cambridge City (not Utd)get a fantastic 0-0 draw at home to Mk Dons. 120 places below them in the football league.tv money and a replay will do the world of good financially . Take a bow boys.
Alexikokopops Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Met Police actually have a player on loan from Crawley! Bet he's gutted. Coventry playing Arsenal then Arlesey in the space of a couple of months . Love English football. He's also scored 10 goals in their 4 FA Cup qualifying games so far.
RonnieTodger Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Coventry leading Arlesey 1-0. Genuine picture not long before kick off: (Really don't know why they've opened every stand)
kingfox Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Coventry leading Arlesey 1-0. Genuine picture not long before kick off: (Really don't know why they've opened every stand) I've seen more people at a bus stop, than in that stand with CCFC on it.
Kitchandro Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Coventry leading Arlesey 1-0. Genuine picture not long before kick off: (Really don't know why they've opened every stand) I did laugh but tbf that's what you'd expect.
