You can actually have your posts deleted and be banned now because you've posted something a moderator doesn't agree with, even when it is completely and utterly inoffensive (case in point, a sensible comment posted in the investment in Leicester's economy thread gets deleted and the poster banned with no explanation given). I can certainly see why the likes if nick and daggers don't post anymore because every contentious idealistic point they try to make is usually well and truly picked apart by the more realistic posters, and being proved wrong time and again must not be pleasant for them, but is that reason enough to delete posts and ban the users who disagree with them? There really is an absolutely absurd level of hyper-sensitivity on this forum and there are plenty of users who are desperate to take offence and twist what people are saying purely so they can pretend to be offended. Then you find yourself in a position where you are being labled everything from a racist, sexist, fascist, misogynist and even a paedophile and yet, if you dare to try and explain yourself further you are the one who has your posts deleted and you are the one banned. If the forum moderators are interested in making this place better they could start with removing those who take pointless cheap potshots from the sidelines, twisting comments like journalists and then weighing in with false accusations while offering nothing worthwhile to the conversation. It's a waste of time trying to have a conversation on here while certain posters are allowed to continue behaving in such a manner. If they were intelligent enough to come up with reasonable counter arguments then we'd get good discussions, but all they do is default to "racist", "sexist" accusations and various other insults (as evidenced in this very thread). Rather than contributing anything meaningful they'll pack hunt like wild dogs and defame posters who, if you actually bother to read their posts, are only trying to get across their opinion. I guess some people just can't handle the thought that they are often wrong about pretty much everything. Much better then to censor and ban the people who prove them wrong time and again, that way they can go back to pretending that they know it all.
