After changing my username and editing my profile, it came to my attention I had 70 rep points. Not sure who gave me them or why or even how these are given. Is it an ego-stroking thing or something? Genuine question guys.

It's basic e-penis material - you calculate your T.M.I using the following formula:

Where P is the number of posts, R is the number of rep points, and C_n is the number of people who think you're a cunt.

Aah, the -1 button, those were the days. We had one for about a day, and several people ended up on -100 or so - I think daggers actually went round trying to get as much negative rep points as possible.

Ultimately it got binned, I think because it was being so drastically abused.

The best thing about this is the fact that two posters got in between you and my post, betraying the fact that you spent at least two full minutes thinking about what to write.

I am currently on -143, purely because I annoyed people.

I love rep points, they get me so excited when I get one, if someone gave me a rep point on Christmas day it would be the best Christmas present ever.

Assuming the same mechanism was set up as for +1 in that you only get so many per day, how did that happen? Unless it was mods acting tyranically as they have done with kingfox and his banter.
