UpTheLeagueFox Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 After changing my username and editing my profile, it came to my attention I had 70 rep points. Not sure who gave me them or why or even how these are given. Is it an ego-stroking thing or something? Genuine question guys.
The Doctor Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 It's basic e-penis material - you calculate your T.M.I using the following formula: (P * R)/Cn Where P is the number of posts, R is the number of rep points, and Cn is the number of people who think you're a cunt.
Corky Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Usually it's endorsement of the post. Although it has been known that the button has been pressed accidentally by people missing the quote feature when disagreeing with that post.

BunkMoreland Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Warning points are a far better indication of raw coolness than rep points
definitely not finners Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Yeah, only the biggest keyboard warriors get banned from forums. You must be so cool.
ealingfox Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Will there ever be a -1 button? Then we'd end up with a true sense of who had the most-valued input.
The Doctor Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Will there ever be a -1 button? Then we'd end up with a true sense of who had the most-valued input. Aah, the -1 button, those were the days. We had one for about a day, and several people ended up on -100 or so - I think daggers actually went round trying to get as much negative rep points as possible. Ultimately it got binned, I think because it was being so drastically abused.
BunkMoreland Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Yeah, only the biggest keyboard warriors get banned from forums. You must be so cool. The best thing about this is the fact that two posters got in between you and my post, betraying the fact that you spent at least two full minutes thinking about what to write. And you're gonna sit there and try to talk to me about cool.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 5 December 2012 Author Posted 5 December 2012 Warning points are a far better indication of raw coolness than rep points How do we get warning points and how do I find out if I have any? [Yes I know I'm looking into this far too deeply...] How did you change your username? I bribed one of the admins with £1,000 in cash. Seemed a bargain...
kingfox Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 I am currently on -143, purely because I annoyed people. I love rep points, they get me so excited when I get one, if someone gave me a rep point on Christmas day it would be the best Christmas present ever.
Guest MattP Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 How do we get warning points and how do I find out if I have any? [Yes I know I'm looking into this far too deeply...] On your profile, I currently only have one warning point which I'm slightly upset about.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 5 December 2012 Author Posted 5 December 2012 Cheers guys, thanks for your input - admin can close/delete this thread now, don't want something as dull as this clogging up the forum.

Unless it was mods acting tyranically as they have done with kingfox and his banter.
definitely not finners Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 That or I was sat on the throne whilst replying and could neither be bothered to use the quote function nor hurry? But yeah, you're right, I must be just a stupid gay lefty jobless female waster like everyone else you disagree with. I wish I was as badass as you.
kingfox Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Warning points are a far better indication of raw coolness than rep points I have 7 of them, three away from a permanent ban, so my banter will take a back seat for the foreseeable future, I know people will be gutted but I gotta change my ways.
Captain... Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 I have 7 of them, three away from a permanent ban, so my banter will take a back seat for the foreseeable future, I know people will be gutted but I gotta change my ways. Or just wait until you are banned and then sign up with a new account.

Is something making you upset? Maybe I can help
kingfox Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Or just wait until you are banned and then sign up with a new account. Then get banned again because they know it's me, like the account I created when I got banned for about 3-5 days, called MR Wum. It only lasted about 5 minutes.

Not sure who gave me them or why or even how these are given. Is it an ego-stroking thing or something? Genuine question guys. I generally give them for random silliness .

Unless it was mods acting tyranically as they have done with kingfox and his banter. What actually happened with this? I feel, as a mod, I should probably know what's going on around here but that sounds too much like hard work.
