I had always known Tiger was done years ago, as soon as he started getting regular injuries. He was never coming back from that other than the occasional appearance. It's sad when you think about it. Instead of just retiring with his head held high he's desparately tried to keep playing and staying relevant.

He obviously has other personal issues and should have just kept quiet and gotten involved with something else in the game like academies and teaching, as well as helping his son's career.

Balls of steel again from Fitzy.

He might look like a school boy but he's proper mentally tough.

And good to see his brother win the DP Tour event this week. Talented family.

Got to try and avoid as many spoilers as possible before Friday which is realistically my first opportunity to watch it.

It'll sure bring the feels back less than a week out from it starting all over again!

Was sat watching it melting in Disneyworld Florida.  Crazy it's been a year.

It's a truly outstanding documentary.

(But I would say that as a golf sicko and Rory fan boy)

This time last year me and my old man were getting ready to fly to Charlotte for the Monday practice day at the Masters.

I don't think I've ever been as excited as I was then and I would give just about anything in life to go back and do it again.

It's the most magical place on earth.

I know it’s a different era and sport now from when I first started watching but the Masters is the one sporting event left where I get fully all nostalgic and pretty damn emotional at times…....if heaven really does exist then please feel free to drop me off down Magnolia Lane lol

I should move with the times but knowing that Tiger and Lefty won’t be teeing off somewhere on the course through the sunset of the trees still hurts.

Augusta is an iconic place and course, but I can never seem to get excited for it any more than any other major apart from maybe the Ryder Cup.

I've been to the Open five or six times and always believed it was the best major because of all the history etc. The crowds/atmoshphere is unique and the claret jug is revered around the world. I still love it, look forward to it every year, and watch it dawn til dusk each day. The US Open is unique because of the course difficulty so that's always interesting, but the PGA is no more than a glorified regular tour event event really. A poor fourth in the major rankings.

I never really understood what all the fuss was about with the Masters but having now been (although only for a practice day and a few hours because it pissed down) I get it. There's just nothing else like it in golf from the perfection of the course, the stunning surroundings, the way they treat the 'patrons', the no phones policy, the exclusivity, and the fact it's held at the same couse each year so we know each hole inside out. Plus the fact it's the first major of the year means the anticipation levels are off the charts for every golf fan.

But the Ryder Cup is a different animal all together. I've been twice in '89 and '02 and the atmosphere is like a cup final. I've never heard a roar like standing by the first green at the Belfry when Monty holed his birdie putt against Scott Hoch in the first singles match in '02. The crown was 20 deep all the way down the fairway and there must have been 10-15000 people on that hole alone.

If I could only go to one more Open, Masters, or RC in my lifetime, I'd choose the Masters. It's like Disneyland for golf nuts and I'd emplore everyone to go if they ever get the chance. It's a rip off booking with a golf travel company but it's the only way unless you're lucky enough to win the ballott.

Sell your car, your kidney, your kids if you have to, but you must go if you love golf.

Jesus the Rory documentary, I can't believe how much of the trauma I'd completely erased from his round in my head. I knew it wasn't plain sailing but blimey...

I remembered the double on 13, completely forgot he doubled 1. Obviously remembered the good bits like 7, 15, 17 and then forgot how short the putt was he missed on 18 too. Wild.

Along with the near hour discussion of him talking you through each shot that Izzy posted, the Masters butterflies are well and truly here for me.

What an event, what a sport. Let's have it!

Penge doing well again this weekend, worth a couple of quid for the Masters?

I'm a big Penge fan but the only bet I'd put on him for the Masters is to make the cut on his debut.

He's definately got the length off the tee to do well round there but his approach play and short game is way too inconsistant IMO.

Really hope he proves me wrong but top 30-40 at best would be my guess.

Good points I didn't realise it was his masters debut tbh. Have already had a flutter on Morikawa, Fitzy and Gotterup so should probably stop there :D

I was thinking of Gotterup. Also, his first Masters though too.

For me, it’s the RC over anything. Like Izzy says, it’s a Cup Final like atmosphere, albeit respectfully done

Put it this way, we’ve applied for Adare Manor tickets and should we fail in the ballot we’re looking at going to Thailand instead.

I know where I’m hoping to be 🇮🇪

Good luck in the ballot mate. Adare Manor will be the best RC ever.

P.S. You could probably go to the Maters for a similar cost to going Thailand, just a thought.....

Honestly Izzy, it’s never appealed to me 🙈

Definitely one of those things I don’t know what I’m on about, but yeh it’s never floated my boat
