ithuriel Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 Have a few figurines, Enchantica Dragons, Anime characters etc., that are quite nice to look at and worth a few pennies but I'm looking for somewhere that sells decent glass panel display units at reasonable prices. Anyone here know of a decent store in Leicester or online shop ?
Larry_LCFC Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 If its like a wall mounted one you want, argos do some decent ones. Ive got load of models in a couple of these: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8721147.htm
ithuriel Posted 19 February 2013 Author Posted 19 February 2013 They look decent, too small for my larger dragons and figurines though but since they are going to be in my living room I can spend time looking around.
Webbo Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 I wouldn't touch Argos furniture with a bargepole. Flimsy shit that will fall apart in weeks.
Fox92 Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 I collect 1:76 diecast buses. I had that cabinet that is listed above, but ended up getting rid of it. It was alright, but wasn't deep enough for my buses, and the shelves actually ended up bending slightly. Brought a new cabinet from Argos. Had it over a year now, love it... http://www.argos.co....er/6134183.html It actually wasn't £169.99 when I got it (I got it for just over £100). But it is very good, stable and I love it really.
Rincewind Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 They have some decent display cabinets at the BHF shop from around £40-£100
Carl the Llama Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 Are we allowed to do this now? Last time I displayed my unit I got in a lot of legal trouble.
Zingari Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 I wouldn't touch Argos furniture with a bargepole. Flimsy shit that will fall apart in weeks. Probably that's down to the way you put it together ! You're supposed to use allen keys and screwdrivers , not barge poles.

ithuriel Posted 23 February 2013 Author Posted 23 February 2013 http://www.ikea.com/...ducts/10011055/ ive got a couple of these from Ikea.......ideal for my little collections,no dusting required haha They are quite sturdy and well made? If so, I think I might get at least one
mrsizzett Posted 24 February 2013 Posted 24 February 2013 certainly have no complaints about the quality of them, very sturdy too, pigs to put together though, takes 2 people
Rocket-Ron Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 The price tag clearly says £120. Double Exposure ??
Zingari Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 I don't know why that fruit bowl doesn't slide off .
danny. Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 The £120 is probably for a wine glass, going by BHF prices
Rincewind Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 The price tag clearly says £120. Which one? The prices are taken from the current market prices. Some goods are new bought straight from the manufacturers. Where can you get a brand new bed with mattress for under £100? Seen them advertised on TV at £499 which they say is half price. The money goes to a charity which can't be bad. There are TV's from £10-£45. TV cabinets at £20. Three piece suites £150. Refurbished Washing machines £160 Electric cookers £195. There may be some things more than I would pay but the majority of the stuff is reasonably priced..

Rincewind Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 I'm not saying it doesn't. There are some priced £60 and less. Where did you get that picture of me from anyway?

21st Century Fox Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Ken, you may want to check your dirty wash basket, he might be nose deep in a pair of your used underwear right now.
