Mercury - New Manager Poll story pulled !

Recommended Posts

The Mercury did post a request on their website for fans to indicate who they want as City's "New Manager" (I saw it at 10.45 am via the Newsnow feed). That story / page is no longer available ! Do they know something not yet public and have had to pull it for now - or I have just started a conspiracy theory !?

Update - sorry, I've just been able to access this story directly from the Mercury website. They claim they're just finding out fans views IF NP goes - but still !!

I can't imagine that running an article on such an issue would be good for the \merc's relationship with the club.

Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the headline and thought I'd missed something. Wonder if they've been hacked?

Like most disgruntled fans, I find myself trawling hourly through snippets and posts for any news whatsoever regarding the managerial situation. My phone keyboard's now on it's way out.

Bet someone's in for the high jump with this one - the content might be gone, but the headline won't go away!

And they claim to be Leicester 'fans'. Top work from the Mercury adding more pressure just to sell more copies, they can fvck off.

The headline is still on Newsnow but the content isn't.

This wildly reckless from the Mercury and I wouldn't blame the club for refusing to talk to them in future!

It was a reader's comment on a message board 'LCFCMike' asking a stupid hypothetical question that LM took down in minutes, as with a lot of these comments it created a link on LM home page. No biggy to say the least.

Interesting, yet pretty ridiculous considering they are supposed to have a good relationship with the club and City.

Is anyone actually reading these posts?

It was a users post that was taken down.

The Mercury took down a users post.

The headline was created by a user, not the Mercury, who took it down swiftly.

All I saw was 'Who do you want as new manager' or some such on Newsnow and thought Pearson had been sacked. I clicked on it pretty quickly but there was nothing to see by that time.

The headline is still on Newsnow. Surely the Mercury have some control over how their material is viewed online?
