General Smuts Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 Anybody looking forward to the new season? I've decided I'm gonna get interested this year - starting with the draft at the end of April. The big Mancunian Menelik Watson looks set to be a first round pick and I'm going to follow him to whichever team he gets drafted to. I did look at pledging my allegiance to the Philadelphia Eagles for the fact that Michael Vick is a horror show and that interests me but I'm starting a-fresh with Menelik instead. What is everyone's thoughts? Does anyone care at all?
LcFc_Smiv Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 I'm currently interning at Baylor Athletic Performance, where RGIII played college ball. We have 13 guys or so that have been to the combine and looking to get drafted so I'm taking some particular interest. I follow Carolina Panthers.
Guest Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 I follow the Redskins. Just seen the update on RG3s knee yesterday and looks promising for start of season but not definite yet. Will be keeping a close eye on the draft. Ended up at the NFL UK tour at Old Trafford the other night. Interesting seeing the Vikings players and Jeff Reinebold talking tactics and the development of particular positions from their traditional roles.
syston_fox Posted 29 March 2013 Posted 29 March 2013 Packers for me. Can see it being a tough transitional year for us. Think we could struggle to make the play offs.
dobbylcfc Posted 29 March 2013 Posted 29 March 2013 Bucaneers for me went to a game a couple of years ago when I was on holiday loved it so that's my team
General Smuts Posted 2 April 2013 Author Posted 2 April 2013 I like the spread of teams supported on here. A lot of mock drafts are placing Menelik Watson in either the Bengals or the Colts. I like the Colts but they aren't the same post-Manning.
Fox in the North Posted 2 April 2013 Posted 2 April 2013 I'm a jets fan.......please don't laugh too much
buzzy Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 cowboys are my fav suppoerted since 82 like a few teams but hate ravens giants eagles. got nfl pass last season watch most games live. going to wembley for game in october 49ers v jaguarsreally looking forward to it
C-man Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Been a Vikings fan for over a decade now so I'm absolutely buzzing to see them at the end of September at Wembley. Fingers crossed AP stays healthy. If we draft well this year we could make a strong assault on the post-season.
21st Century Fox Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Love stories like this.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/american-football/22290474
Fox in the North Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 The jets seem to hell bent on making themselves a laughing stock
General Smuts Posted 28 April 2013 Author Posted 28 April 2013 The jets seem to hell bent on making themselves a laughing stock The Geno Smith draft was an odd one but it could pay off yet. I'm still to decide on me team (because the Raiders are shit). I think it's between the Lions and the Bears. Leaning towards the Bears because Cutler looks the better QB
21st Century Fox Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 So from the British hopefuls.... Menelik Watson joins Oakland as a 2nd round pick. Olympic Discus thrower Lawrence Okoye joins the SF 49ers as an undrafted free agent. Tom Wort joins the Titans as an undrafted free agent.

Anyone looking a stand out?
Guest Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Can I just add that the news that RG3's knee has been given the okay makes me very happy Time will tell if it has any longer term effects but I'm glad to see him back for the Redskins

Broncos Ravens tonight should be a good un to start. Welker away from Brady should be interesting. Ray Rice stepping up too.

True it'd cause problems but they've had a decent preseason and made a few signings that whilst aren't gonna set the world alight will give a bit more strength in depth. Predictions wise, I've gone for 49ers to take the NFC, and Broncos for AFC
General Smuts Posted 5 September 2013 Author Posted 5 September 2013 I predict that The Fear Boners will smash the league to pieces.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 When I got into NFL as a 14 year old, I had my pick of whatever team I wanted to follow. Naturally, to make my sport side supporting life even more frustrating, I opted for the Eagles.
