Lamby Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 And the Cardinals go down to a 48 yard Field Goal with 45secs remaining
Jordan Posted 9 September 2013 Posted 9 September 2013 How on earth was that a TD for Packers? Didn't even break the line. Debatable oneI didn't see that many replays but it looked to me like Lacy broke the plane with the ball. I'll look out for it next time I see a replay of it in the highlights.Giants @ Cowboys coming up... Let's see if Big Blue cant make it five wins in five games at Jerryworld...
Johnny Cash Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 Anybody looking forward to the new season? I've decided I'm gonna get interested this year - starting with the draft at the end of April. The big Mancunian Menelik Watson looks set to be a first round pick and I'm going to follow him to whichever team he gets drafted to. I did look at pledging my allegiance to the Philadelphia Eagles for the fact that Michael Vick is a horror show and that interests me but I'm starting a-fresh with Menelik instead. What is everyone's thoughts? Does anyone care at all? You should have gone with the Eagles... I write about NFL here... www.fightfortheyard.com
Johnny Cash Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 How on earth was that a TD for Packers? Didn't even break the line. Debatable oneIt did break the line. Just has to touch/cover the line, not actually into the endzone.
syston_fox Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 Point proved. Would be great if they got a prime time game back or a decent highlights show at the weekend. Used to watch c4 every week as a kid. Think channel 4 have a highlights show on Saturday mornings now.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 You should have gone with the Eagles... YEEEEEEEEAH. Went out last night so just catching up with how Philly did now, kept checking my phone for updates yesterday. On a related note - this is fantastic, I love the bloke as it is but if this is true he's now my ultimate hero. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/lesean-mccoy-taunted-tacklers-own-name-173511738--nfl.html

The Fear Boners beat Adam's Allstars and a nice win for the Bears too. Top notch weekend all round.
Lamby Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Jets to score over 14.5 points tonight is at evens on Paddy Power. The Pats defence is good, but surely they'll let a few touchdowns past them
General Smuts Posted 12 September 2013 Author Posted 12 September 2013 Bears vs Vikings this Sunday is gonna be huge. How do you stop AP?
Fox in the North Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Get Lewis and Hernandez to take care of him?
Guest MattP Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Jets to score over 14.5 points tonight is at evens on Paddy Power. The Pats defence is good, but surely they'll let a few touchdowns past them They won't let them do anything, they hate the Jets, could be closer than the bookies have it though, Pats wideouts are rookieish to say the least.
Lamby Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 £5.03 on 1st Quater Total Points over 7.5, returns £9.82
Jordan Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Giants were a ****ing disaster on Sunday night... Lamby, those actually aren't terrible picks. I'm also with MattP that I think giving 12 points is a bit steep. I'm taking the Jets and the points in my pool and I'm really tempted to put some cash on them, too, but then again, they are the Jets...

Jets are going at what is +550 for you guys over here outright, I think that's a tad overpriced, Pats struggled last week and everything didn't seem to be working. Like you say though, we'll both be sat there half way through the 2nd watching another buttfumble thinking "why did we back these guys?"
Fox in the North Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Will Amendola play? Decisions decisions haha How doubtful is doubtful?
Jordan Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 We'll know in 45 minutes, but I'd guess Amendola is going to be out. Pats look like they'll be without their top two TEs, too. Kerley is out for the Jets.

Kerley is out for the Jets. Will that be then too late for me to change the old fantasy footy? I'm kind of torn here, really want amendola to play and score a plenty, but my nfl team is meant to be the Jets so I don't want them to lose
Jordan Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Amendola is out--not just tonight, but for at least 2 weeks, maybe 6. I think you still have time, not sure what your league's deadline is but the earliest I'd think would be 1 hour before kickoff
Out Foxed Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 hoping for injuries and suspensions across both teams
Guesty Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Can't believe one of the first episodes of NFL - A Life in Football is about Tim Tebow: A 26 year old player who for one season started 11 games; was a back up for two other seasons and is now a Free Agent. But he did have great religious PR, which his team and the media milked the crap out of. This is the accompanying series to America's Game - which was one of the best NFL documentaries around. They better interview better players (more deserving) in the future. What a joke! Edit: Just researched and seen it's the second series, but the first Sky have shown. But still a joke that he's even considered for it. When you see the other players, coaches and owners on the series I can't understand why SKY chose this episode so early on.
Jordan Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 BTW, I won the pool (5 players) last week with a whopping 7 out of 16 correct picks! We suck! FWIW, here are my Week 2 picks: Jets (+12) at Pats Broncos (-5) at Giants Eagles (-7.5) vs Chargers Ravens (-6.5) vs Browns Titans (+9) at Texans Colts (-3) vs Dolphins Bills (+3) vs Panthers Rams (+6.5) at Falcons Packers (-7) vs Redskins Cowboys (-2.5) at Chiefs Vikings (+6) at Bears Saints (-3) at Buccaneers Lions (-1) at Cardinals Raiders (-5.5) vs Jaguars Seahawks (-3) vs 49ers Bengals (-7) vs Steelers

Guest MattP Posted 13 September 2013 Posted 13 September 2013 Always thought Gino Smith was massively over-rated at the Mountaineers, never going to be an NFL QB. I'm prepared to write him off already.
Jimmy Posted 13 September 2013 Posted 13 September 2013 Geno Smith played well but for a few Rookie mistakes, he has no real weapons which hurts, Pats got VERY lucky
