Danny the Fox 95 Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 I think this shows extreme loyalty. He clearly wants to be here, he has also acknowledged the fans, you can only praise the lad. Well done Ben!
Buzzell Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Fair play to him. He was in the wrong so coming out and apologising is the right thing to do.
Buzzell Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 The guys apologised, now lets forget about it, move on and bring on Brighton.
Simmo86 Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Fair enough. Just move on from it now. Although I expect some of the ever increasing number of bellends on here will continue to harp on about it!
Simo86 Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 He was always going to apologise. I'm not surprised at all, he'd of been a fool not to. His agent has probably told him to anyway
shiv Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 The guys apologised, now lets forget about it, move on and bring on Brighton. Agreed. Also, your display pic is very distracting
theessexfox Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 He was always going to apologise. I'm not surprised at all, he'd of been a fool not to. His agent has probably told him to anyway This. Situation over, move on, but everyone bumlicking him now gets me, especially as the likelihood is that it wasn't his idea.
goose2010 Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Fair enough. Just move on from it now. Although I expect some of the ever increasing number of bellends on here will continue to harp on about it! should run a sweep stake i think there will be other ten pages before midnight tonight on this thread, plus two new threads set up harking on about the same thing!
Rocky Dennis Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Fair play to him??? Does anyone think that this 'statement' was insisted on and indeed drafted by the club on his behalf? Should be dropped from the squad.
Simmo86 Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Fair play to him??? Does anyone think that this 'statement' was insisted on and indeed drafted by the club on his behalf? Should be dropped from the squad. It probably was, but being a HUMAN he ****ed up. The last thing we need is dropping another player from our already small squad
SidJames Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Looks to me he was obviously TOLD to say sorry. PS: New here - hi!
Rocky Dennis Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 It probably was, but being a HUMAN he ****ed up. The last thing we need is dropping another player from our already small squad The LAST thing we need is a player not giving his all on the pitch, anyone with eyes can see that Marshall has not been doing that for Months, this incident is a slap in the face for all those that pay his (huge) wages
ian1984summer Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 the simple fact is we will never know if the statment was drafted by the club and he was advised to issue it, or if infact he lost his rag in the heat of the moment (as we all have) and is genuinely remorseful and did it off his own back. we can only speculate but i personally like to give people the benefit of the doubt. ill get behind the team including marshall as i always do and do my personal best to push us over the finishing line. i would love everyone to do the same.
foxfanazer Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Looks to me he was obviously TOLD to say sorry. PS: New here - hi! Why obviously?Welcome by the way!
ian1984summer Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Looks to me he was obviously TOLD to say sorry. PS: New here - hi! just out of curiosity how can you gather he was obviously told to say sorry?
foxfanazer Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 This. Situation over, move on, but everyone bumlicking him now gets me, especially as the likelihood is that it wasn't his idea. Who's bum licking him. No point in another vendetta, isn't the NP one enough for everyone for now
SidJames Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 First the tone of the apology looks like it was written by a PR guy. Second - and most important - it took two days for the apology to come out. If he was genuinely contrite, it would have come out that evening.
Rocky Dennis Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 just out of curiosity how can you gather he was obviously told to say sorry? Those words appear (to me) to be very different to those that usually come out of the players mouth, he sounds as thick as 2 short planks in interviews. Do you think this is a genuine attempt by the player to aplogise?

Do you think this is a genuine attempt by the player to aplogise? He doesn't seem the sharpest tool in the box but there isn't anything definitive to say that his apology isn't sincere so why not just move on? What are people going to get out of holding a grudge? If he goes and bangs in vital goals in the next few games I'm sure people would soon forget

Danno Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Does Marshall even know what composure means? Doubt it. He'll be on loan to Huddersfield soon
davieG Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 First the tone of the apology looks like it was written by a PR guy. Second - and most important - it took two days for the apology to come out. If he was genuinely contrite, it would have come out that evening. I'm sure he was advised on how to phrase the statement doesn't mean to say he doesn't regret what happened as for two days that's somewhat quicker than most of the other stuff that is posted on the OS, he's not exactly in a position to go on there and post it himself.
foxfanazer Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Does Marshall even know what composure means? Doubt it. He'll be on loan to Huddersfield soon Huddersfield (Leicester's scrapyard/naughty step)
Buzzell Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 At the end of the day he's apologised, whether him doing it himself or the club making him. So now let's forget about it and move forward.
Buzzell Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Agreed. Also, your display pic is very distracting Melissa Debling, look her up. You won't be disappointed
