Ben Marshall being booed & apologises

Ironically some of the best corners I've seen from a city player in recent years were taken by Tom Kennedy.

We've been piss poor at dead ball situations for so long its depressing to think about it. Off the top of my head only Waghorn and before that, Sheehan have shown themselves capable of whipping the ball into dangerous areas with some pace and spin on the ball.

What really pisses me off is that we have done nothing about it, seemingly forever. Even a few 'training ground moves' however obvious, would at least show we were trying, but there is none of that, nothing at all...... :(

Back on topic, fans abuse players all the time, sometimes disgracefully so. If you can't take it don't give it.

I absolutely loved it when Adebeyor ran the length of the pitch to give the metaphoric finger to the Arsenal fans, absolutely brilliant, more please.......

Oh no... lets not talk about set pieces, I might have an aneurysm.

Our fans have to accept by turning on the players and making their life more difficult for them will not help our performances, if you want to pay £30 per game to do that then fair enough that is your privilege but personally it makes no sense to me

Our end was as pathetic as ever this year. Thought it had slowly improved and that the moaners would've stayed away with us being off form and taking about half what we took to a place 10 miles away when playing well, but clearly not, there was barely a song before kick off and it just set the tone, knew it'd be absolute shit from the off.

Seriously anyone who rates our away support these days is kidding themselves. Our numbers are good but the majority of even our away ends now are full of miserable fvckers who won't sing a word unless we're winning.

I'm not defending the team at all for the game either, I thought the performance was beyond a disgrace, but the tone was set from the away end before the game had even kicked off, good job the journeys have been a laugh this year because the aways inside the ground have honestly been the worst ever.

Sorry mate, I must have been at a different game, we even sang pretty well near the end when it was hopeless and when that little toad Marshall (previously one of my favourite players) did his little heel turn.

As I recall the "We're Leicester City, We'l see you next year" chant was one of the funniest.

Barnsley on the other hand were silent throughout, even when their tannoy announcer pleaded with them to "Make some noise for the super reds" it was met with an embarrassing but hilarious silence...

After we managed to string to 2 passes together coming out with 'just like watching Brazil' made me laugh

Thought it was a decentish end yesterday

Fully deserved the booing he got and I can't believe people actually sang his name at the end.

Sauntered over several times to take s**t corners, it was embarrassing the lack of enthusiasm the guy had. I really liked him before Monday, too.

There's some old geezer on ITV at the moment, does a good corner...... :P

Yeah, but he'll never amount to owt. I mean, could you see him playing - for example - for England?

Aint it good though to hear REAL fans singing? Watched the Bundesliga highlights last night, the fans at all grounds were amazing.

The 21-year-old winger was involved in an unfortunate verbal exchange with a small number of the 2,000 travelling fans during the second half at Oakwell.

Ben told lcfc.com: “In the heat of the game, I lost my composure and reacted in a way that was unacceptable, which I truly regret. I let myself, my team mates and the supporters down and unreservedly apologise for any offence I may have caused.

“We’ve set high standards as a squad this season and we share the frustrations of the fans that, as a team, we haven’t performed as well as we should have in recent weeks.

“We’re working hard to put that right in our last six games, starting at Brighton on Saturday, but I realise that we have to stick together as a Club to make it happen – players, staff and supporters.

“The fans have been amazing this season, both at home and away, and we’re going to need them over the coming games so I hope they stay behind us.â€

I like Marshall good player with bags of potential but I am very concerned he may not be mature enough yet to be a player challenging for Premiership football

doesn't matter who idea it was, he has done it and put his name to him credit to the lad for doing it as he obviously knows he was in the wrong. I'm pretty sure in the heat of the moment we have all done or said something we regret.

Time to move on I think!

It's no credit to the lad if the club have forced him into an apology?

We don't know it was the clubs idea so just give him the benefit of the doubt an move on.

It was bang out of order but he's apologised, back onto the football and turning this mess around!

but that's just here say there is nothing to say the club have 'forced' him. For all you know the club might of thought nothing was wrong and he forced them to do it.

Although I suspect it's at the club/Pearsons request that he made it there's no indication in that article that he's not genuinely apologetic himself.

Best just move on from it, apart from those on here with an obvious axe to grind/vitriol to spew.
