Ben Marshall being booed & apologises

Recommended Posts

Do you folks think the booing will make him improve his game for the next match?

Deluded bunch of hypocrites.

Ffs he a pro footballer, great bloke

Yeah, and the majority of our fans are so-called grown-ups. Great bunch of lads.

But not all of them, right?

IF they were just telling him to hurry up and then he mouthed 'fvck off', I wouldn't be too happy if I was one of those in attendance.

no passion, no fight!!! he cannot blame it on being tierd as he only come on in the 55th minute..!

Cannot believe some of you don't care that one of our own players has booed the people that pay his wages. It was right in front of me it was, and regardless of whether some of our fans 'deserve it or not' he is a Leicester City player, he should not be doing this, end of.

Pearson didn't half sign some dross when you look back on it.

Enjoy your 500 quid a week in league two Ben, that's where you're heading. Give me a call in a few years when your career is over, I night give you a job cleaning my toilets.

Too many young kids who can't take the pressure, managements fault for not getting older heads playing with them.

Drink, Marshall, knocky, waggy all fall into that category. I am sad to say but Nige has got it wrong, too much emphasis on youth has caused this

People were only saying "hurry up" because there was no urgency from him to take the corner.

Well out of order for him to react like he did.

Yeh, there clearly aren't enough strong and mature characters in that dressing room. Players like Marshall, Knockaert, Drinkwater and St Ledger come across as playboys who are just enjoying their wealth and youth, but are too big headed to get their head down when the going is tough.

Even Morgan, as much as he seems a good player and a nice family bloke, doesn't really strike me as a big character who will guide the younger ones. The closest we've got is Kasper, and he's a one off.

He' ain't rushing to take a corner we are 2.0 down, he,s been ****ing shite nearly all season what do you expect, "yea come on Ben you take your time good lad" ****

Think he's a tit after that. Didn't make any effort to go fast then gives the fans abuse. Looked like he couldn't give a shit after that too.

He's Gallagher with the bonus of being able to use 2 feet

We've got one in Wellens but obviously he's not good enough to play all the time.

Except Gallagher ws being abused long before he started taking exception to it and gesturing to the fans.

And I don't remember him ever swearing at them.

it is totally out of order. does he not realise he is a role model for young kids? also, it's an unfortunate part of being in the public eye, you get criticised and you get stick, but you have to turn a blind eye and not react to it. not saying it's right, but heck, the pay should soften the blow! it's happening too often these days, especially in football. like rio ferdinand the other week, when he clapped in the face of the the referee in the match against madrid. that's just wrong, whether the referee was right or wrong in any decisions he made, it's just totally unprofessional to react like that. same when he blatantly tripped up torres the following week. these players are role models for kids, but the examples they are setting are just so, so bad.

overpaid and think they can do what they want. it's the thing that most frustrates me about football these days!

None of them give a shit. It amazing me anyone thinks they do. I've said it before but think about it, people on here expect our players to care as much as ourselves. These players haven't grown up dreaming of playing for Leicester. Most have been rejected by big clubs and fallen on their feet with about 15 grand a week playing for us. If they lose they still get 15 grand a week, and can go home and not give a flying fúck. If they play shit and get sold they'll end up somewhere else and still get paid about 15 grand a week by some other mugs.

Ben Marshall has gone from United kid to Premier League hopeful to just a reserve for a pointless Championship club, and now he's getting stick off the fans he's realised he hates himself and probably our club, too.

Gallagher got on with it, went out on loan, played for the reserves, did everything in a very professional manner whilst having very heavy stuff happen off the pitch, so one can assume football wasn't at the forefront of his mind all the time. Marshall is just a cocky, cúnty kid who thinks he's better than he is and clearly doesn't like being told he's not.

Posted

Thing is though, we didn't exactly give Marshall stick today. I think some of us just wanted him to hurry up - we were losing and he was taking ages to get the ball for a corner.

But what he did is totally unacceptable. Horrible. We pay his wages ffs.

Before we burn a Ben Marshall effigy at the next match, lets wait and see what he says, it may have been a reaction to one comment that went too far and was more than just hurry up.

Wasn't there so can't judge, but was the fvck off aimed at all fans or just one person?

I meant ability wise. Gallagher seems like a very decent bloke. Marshall thinks he's better than he is and has been wank all season
