The financial collapse of Britain?

I read this, or something very similar to this, a few weeks ago. I think there probably is some truth in it but it's mainly an advert for the magazine.

Yeah I got that perception as well. Just thought I'd share it though

Lot's of if's, scare mongering and picking and choosing history to make a case for selling themselves, I guess the complete collapse of Germany twice would mean they would be worse than Greece by now then :) and Russia would have vanished from the face of the earth with the debts built up from the cold war etc.,

More likely this is just history repeating itself after the stock market crashes and depression of the early years of the previous century since our politicians removed all the safeguards put in place back then on the banking systems to stop such events occurring again.

I like how they use Japans stagnant economy as an example of long term debt but then ignore the fact that Japan is not some apocalyptic hell hole like they are selling the UK to become lol and they've had earthquakes, tsunamis and nuclear radiation leakage to put up with too.

Moneyweek have been predicting a massive house price crash for years. They said at one point it would be 50%. At the same time they've been heavily promoting investment in stocks and shares. So I wouldn't take any of their "shock" headlines too seriously
