purpleronnie Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 Who are you voting for purps? And what do you feel are their positive policies? Not made my mind up yet, I have narrowed it down I guess we'll see. Don't !! His head will implode Despite listing policies you weren't aware of. Don't you need another sandwich yet?

Don't you need another sandwich yet? Sorry, must have been laughing so much from your recent posts, that I missed that MASSIVE list of policies that you put up about UKIP.
purpleronnie Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 Sorry, must have been laughing so much from your recent posts, that I missed that MASSIVE list of policies that you put up about UKIP. It was the policies you weren't aware of and you asked for about UKIP looking after the rich. Maybe you should take some time and look them up. But keep deflecting. Why do you edit some much purpleronnie, Bi-polar ? Terrible typing skills.

But keep deflecting. Terrible typing skills. I did ask you to produce this policy about UKIP looking after the rich, but you didn't make sense, so I assume you was making this up. Anyway, what's wrong with working hard and earning a few bob to make yourself more wealthier, sounds like you'd rather sit on the settee whilst drinking and playing your xbox.

How is stating actual UKIP policy not making sense?
MANFACE Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 How is stating actual UKIP policy not making sense? You don't make sense, where in UKIPs policy does it say " We will only be looking after the rich " ? That's what you stated. Anyway, have a good night and stay safe.

Because 99% of the time it doesn't work that way. Hard work doesn't always lead to financial reward. As I said in another thread, what about the theoretical bloke who works his fingers to the bone to save cash, then drops dead of stress before he can spend it? Or the guys stuck in a dead-end job that works them hard but pays them a pittance? It would be nice if the harder you worked, the more you made, but in reality that's an illusion. The Protestant Work Ethic at work.

The Protestant Work Ethic at work. I think he's trolling. He said I didn't make sense after I stated actual UKIP policy. Then he said I stated something I clearly didn't. So I'll put it down to either he is trolling, he's drunk. he's an idiot, he's a druken idiot or he's moosebreath in disguise.

Personally I couldn't give a twopenny fvck about UKIP policy as barring a major economic disaster they're going to remain fringe, but I do take issue with people (not just MF) consistently spouting that hard work = riches. Seen too many hard working people screwed over to believe that in any way.
Rincewind Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 I've only heard about UKIP policies on foreigners. I can't imagine their social policies being any more compassionate.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 I've only heard about UKIP policies on foreigners. I can't imagine their social policies being any more compassionate. Can't be any worse than this shower that are in power currently
Captain... Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 Can't be any worse than this shower that are in power currently Well that is true. MANFACE and other UKIP voters, do you want UKIP in power or do you just want to make a protest vote so your views on Europe are reflected, do you think UKIP actually could get into power, and would that change your vote?

I genuinely feel it's time for a shake up in this countryWhat do you think about it all Pankers?
Captain... Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 I genuinely feel it's time for a shake up in this country What do you think about it all Pankers? I think a shake up is needed but I would never vote for UKIP, I would welcome them splitting the right wing vote though. But I an a Europhile, and whilst it hasn't been perfect I think it is the right way forwards.
Guest MattP Posted 9 August 2013 Posted 9 August 2013 I've only heard about UKIP policies on foreigners. I can't imagine their social policies being any more compassionate. What is their "policy on foreigners" as you put it? I couldn't find that part in the last manifesto. I think a shake up is needed but I would never vote for UKIP, I would welcome them splitting the right wing vote though. But I an a Europhile, and whilst it hasn't been perfect I think it is the right way forwards. I always found this excuse for supporting the EU so strange. I'm one of the biggest europhiles going, I've been to every country on it virtually and absolutely love the cities, the countryside and the people of it. I go 10-12 times a year and would go more often if I could. I failt to see how holding that viewpoint means I should support uncontrolled immigration into my country from places like Romania and have decisions made for me by people I have never elected and can't vote out. I'll probably be heading back to the Tories and with the growing economy and Cameron's plans for renegotiation I've started to become a bit of a believer again. I'll vote UKIP in the Euros next year though, I absolutely cannot wait to see those two swarmy bastards Barroso and Van Rumpey faces when the people of this country send more UKIP MEP's than any other party.

When I said Europhile, I meant a fan of the EU as a concept, I do think it is the correct way forwards to get a unified Europe with a unified view on how to progress as a continent. I don't necessarily agree with uncontrolled immigration, especially with the current economic climate, but then I do agree with the freedom of movement of workers, but it really should be skilled workers going where there is skilled work. I don't think the influx of unskilled workers is beneficial, an example is a friend of my missus (Spanish), has come to England looking for a job and to learn English, he has a degree in Renewable energies, but is applying for work in the kitchens at Pret a Manger It is not beneficial to him and it is taking unskilled work from unskilled workers in this country putting them on the dole.
Guest MattP Posted 9 August 2013 Posted 9 August 2013 When I said Europhile, I meant a fan of the EU as a conceptt/quote] That really isn't and should never be the definition of a "europhile"!
Rincewind Posted 9 August 2013 Posted 9 August 2013 Good letter in the Independant today. Basically it said if he was not being seious about the first part how can he be taken serious on the rest. There was more but can't remember it all.

That's crap though, I assuming this is referring to bongo bongo man, it's basically saying that by making one joke or flippant remark you invalidate your opinion on everything. Some of the most telling political opinions are conveyed through the medium of comedy and humour. His point was clear his delivery suspect, but you can't just choose to ignore his point because of the way he said it.

If the guy in the letter had his point of view anything that ever came out of Churchill's mouth wouldn't have been given any time of day. That's the sort of reader you'll get in the Independant though.
