Just won the Portugese First Division for the first time with Sporting, 79pts from 90 but Porto and Benfica pushed all the way. First time Sporting have won the title for 39 years. Very happy since Porto and Benfica are very strong sides, didn't think i'd be able to win the title so soon (albeit 3 and a half years in). Definitely one of my best achievements given all the selling i've had to do to put the club in a workable way financially speaking. Next season will be my 50th year in management !

They don't give you a direct star rating comparison against your current players in the same position. I know it wasn't the only thing to judge a player on, but it was useful. Now I just get to find out whether Saido Berahino plays better as a 'false nine' or a 'trequartaista', which really doesn't help...

Only 4 were added on and we got one free kick, we forced a save from a header and got the corner, drilled it in quickly and Whitbread was unmarked. What it meant was I went 4 clear of 2nd place who have two games left and a better goal difference - if we'd lost the game, it'd be out of our control, but now it means if I beat Doncaster, I am guaranteed promotion. So I've just played the latest matchday. Birmingham have beaten Leeds 4-2 to go onto 83 points, we sit on 82 in 2nd, Reading won 0-1 at Doncaster to go onto 80 and Burnley are on 79 with a 0-0 draw v Ipswich. Leicester v Doncaster Bolton v Birmingham Reading v Burnley If I don't go up then it'll be the most embarrassing FM cock up I've had yet and trust me there's enough competition.

Sold up to Graham Taylor He gave me £5mil with a bit for wages, although this is before my out of contract players leave. I'll do well to stay up this year, very well. I signed a 15 year old Crewe defender for under £100k too and I reckon he could play for England.
