BstarFox Posted 12 November 2013 Posted 12 November 2013 Just started a Schalke save they have a decent squad tbf and am loving Julian and Maximilian.
Dan Posted 12 November 2013 Posted 12 November 2013 I had a big game with them on 13. Got some very decent players but I thought they were weak in central midfield. My answer was Goretzka, who they ended up buying IRL
BstarFox Posted 12 November 2013 Posted 12 November 2013 The only bad thing is the transfer budget they have only gave me 2.5m with 30k wage budget available looks like ill have to cash in for some players
Lamby Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 So I'm just causually 4-0 at up at half time with Oxford City against Stalybridge. I lost 5-4, what the ****
Fox92 Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Finally got into the game. Lost 3-1 at 'Boro first game of the season, followed by a draw against Leeds and wins against Derby and Birmingham... Managed to win in both rounds of the Carling Cup, and got drawn away to Villa in the third round.
Dan Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Cannot make up my mind on a formation at Leicester. Tempted to try a 4-3-3 with wide midfielders, 3 centre forwards (with Knockaert in the centre as a false nine) and a deep lying playmaker.
Beliall Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 I found the 4-1DM-3-1-1 quite useful at times, and you change it to 4-3-1-2 if you need a goal. having a registar in DM, trequarista is AM and the rest fit round. also I switch to 3-1DM-3-1-2 if the opposition packs the mid.
Dan Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Bottled the false 9, didn't think Knockaert's teamwork was nearly good enough. Going for a 4-4-2 diamond with wide midfielders.
JuddLCFC Posted 14 November 2013 Posted 14 November 2013 finished 11th with Southampton after a shocking run of 3 months without a win and the board give me £45m to achieve a top half finish in the second season
Dan Posted 14 November 2013 Posted 14 November 2013 The 4-4-2 diamond was scrapped half way through getting outplayed at Middlesbrough. Gone 3-4-1-2 and won every game so far, 0-1 at Middlesbrough & Derby, 3-1 at home to Leeds.
aussie-fox Posted 14 November 2013 Posted 14 November 2013 just beat man city 1-0 at the king power! cant believe it brought on old man city boy guidetti after half time. told him he could be the difference and he goes and scores his first for the club
Beliall Posted 14 November 2013 Posted 14 November 2013 the mrs has broken ANOTHER laptop, so ive decided to upgrade mine this time and pass my current one to her, but before i do, can anyone tell me how to backup my FM , (and steam in general) save data and is anyone running windows 8 with FM? how is it, any problems?
stripeyfox Posted 14 November 2013 Posted 14 November 2013 the mrs has broken ANOTHER laptop, so ive decided to upgrade mine this time and pass my current one to her, but before i do, can anyone tell me how to backup my FM , (and steam in general) save data and is anyone running windows 8 with FM? how is it, any problems? Runs on Windows 8 for me with no problems. You'll need to re download the steam client and when you sign in you'll be able to download FM again. I think the save games are stored in My Documents>Sports Interactive>FM2014>games from memory. Should just transfer over on a memory stick
Tom17LCFC Posted 14 November 2013 Posted 14 November 2013 Is this easier than 13? Strugged big time on 13, played the demo of 14 and had better results, not sure whether to bother with it.
Fox92 Posted 14 November 2013 Posted 14 November 2013 So, I played Villa away in the third round of the Cup. Didn't even play my full team because the league is more important. Anyway, went 1-0 early on in the first half... Totally hammered them second half but failed to score. Somehow managed to hit the bar a couple of times, and Miquel had an effort which struck the bar in the 94th minute! Quite proud though because my three previous results were (2-3 defeat to Wigan, 0-4 to Blackburn and a 2-2 draw at Blackpool) so to play so well away at Villa, who are 6th in the Prem, is encouraging.

21st Century Fox Posted 14 November 2013 Posted 14 November 2013 Just signed up Leonardo as my new Director of Football as his predecessor was doing a rubbish job. I might get a new scout so all my staff are 4 1/2 stars. I'm losing quite a few games 1-0 usually in the last 10 minutes so I'm dipping in and out of the relegation zone which is worrying. If we go down I'm jumping ship, it's going to be a financial nightmare. I've totally Redknapp'ed them.... not quite that bad actually, I only spent £10m but the wage budget won't be sustainable in Serie B.
Beliall Posted 14 November 2013 Posted 14 November 2013 speaking of redknapp, he got fired by leicester early into the new season, oscar garcia in charge now. hopey if they keep chopping and changing like this, I might be able to get a job there and attempt the European leg of the challenge with the foxes.
Your Are My Leicester Posted 14 November 2013 Posted 14 November 2013 Struggling who to be on this, can anyone recommend a team from England, Italy, Spain or anywhere else that was fun to manage in

Haydos Posted 14 November 2013 Posted 14 November 2013 Any ideas why you've got a vastly different budget? I got taken over in the 2nd season so don't have the Thai's any more. How about you?
