Alf Bentley Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Dunno why but despite being about 6 when they started the 90's seemed to go on forever....where as the following decade seem to fly past. I felt the same about the 70s, it's the age you are. time passes faster the older you get. Very true, Webbo. However, I have a theory about this. When you're a child, time passes slowly as everything is new to you. This continues a bit in early adulthood, when you're still likely to be doing lots of new things....then the acceleration of time kicks in. The only way to slow down time is to live life as if you were 19: change your partner every month; change your job every 2 months; go out to a different band at a different pub every night of the week; go to 5 different new countries every year... time will slow down. Of course, at our age, we'll be dead from a coronary by the age of 55, but we'll enjoy it while it lasts....
