Kitchandro Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 So who's going on Saturday then? Staying the night? I'm getting there about lunchtime and it sounds as if The Manchester is the place to be before the match so I'll be heading there. What are people's plans for after? Where are the places to go? Feeling positive about this one after last night's performance but we'll have to be more clinical in front of goal. What's their pitch like these days? Could be a big factor in how and who we play.
Lionheart Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 As long as the pitch is better than last season I reckon we'll win 2-1.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Not going. Never was interested in going up til last night, but I'm earning about 150 quid at work instead. I'll settle for that
Storming Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Cant wait should get ther about 11am straight to The Manchester for songs with the DJ who plays all the City songs then onto the match then later its the Tower Lounge then onto Flares for some 70s 80s classics On top off 3 points what more could we ask ?
nlukka Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Aiming to get to Blackpool just after midday and then on to the Vodka Revs and The Manchester before heading down to the ground. First trip to Blackpool so quite excited! Not expecting a win, just hoping for a good away day tbh. Think we'd be too open if we go 4-4-2 with Dyer and Knockaert both starting. I think we'll see something similar to how we set up at Derby away - solid but unspectacular.
Monsell1976 Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Went last year and the pitch was shite, so early in the season you would hope it's in condition, which will help our style, would be happy with a draw.
LCFC FOX Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Ausden Clark, Leaves at 8:30 a nice 3 hour journey, few beers, watch the game and make the 3 hour journey back. Come on Leicester! Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Moore Koncheskey Hammond Drinkwater King Knockaert Vardy Nugent Logan, Whitbread, Schlupp, James, Danns, Dyer, Wood Oh and I think we're gonna stuff them and we should do because there squad is pretty shite, 4-1 city!!
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 I would play 3 in midfield, including Hammond, just not too sure what formation. Think we'll lose 1-0 after dominating the entire 90 minutes.
Guest Col city fan Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Can't go this one unfortunately. I do enjoy a night in Blackpool. I want to see us pack the midfield again. Our Achilles heel last season was our away form, based on getting over-run and not battling in the middle of the park. So I'd revert back to a 5-3-2. Kasper DeLaet Moore Morgan Zak Konch King James Drinky Nuge Vardy Would be my team. With a bench enabling us to revert to a 4-4-2 if needed.
lcfc will Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Tighten up the midfield, play Hammond, King and Drinkwater with Knockaert just in front. Rest of the team unchanged.
Guest Col city fan Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Tighten up the midfield, play Hammond, King and Drinkwater with Knockaert just in front. Rest of the team unchanged. One striker?
Guest ttfn Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 ------------------Schmeichel-------------------- De Laet----Moore----Morgan----Konchesky ------------------Hammond---------------------- ---------Drinkwater---------King--------------- Nugent-------------Vardy--------------------Dyer Knockaert's played well in the last 2 games, but I think we need to make sure we're tight in the midfield for a game like this. Plenty of scope for him to come on later in the game if we need something. Maybe an option instead of Nugent as he's not exactly been shit hot in the last couple of fixtures. Either way I'd like to see that front 3 be pretty fluid. Neither Nugent nor Vardy should spend the whole game stuck on the wing, albeit both are capable of playing there.
GingerrrFox Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Kasper Moore Morgan Miquel RDL Konchesky Drinkwater Hammond King Nugent Vardy Subs: Logan, Wasyl, James, Dyer, Knocky, Schlupp, Wood
KellyLCFC Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 I'm going.. Will arrive lunch time. What pubs are good before the match? And then pub ls after to celebrate! Come on city.
nlukka Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Don't want to see us play 3 at the back for this, don't think we've looked threatening enough going forward playing this formation. Having said that, Tom Ince could tear Ritchie De Laet a new one so perhaps 3 at the back might combat his influence somewhat.
Number 6 Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Kasper Moore Morgan Konch De Laet Drinkwater King James Dyer Vardy Nugent Don't really want to drop Knockaert but think the pace of Dyer and Rdl is needed.
theessexfox Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 4-3-1-2 Kasper RDL Moore Morgan Konchesky King Hammond Drinky/James Knockaert Vardy Nugent
kingfox Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Hard one, want Knockaert to start, because I thought he played excellent on Tuesday. But then I have a feeling neither him or Dyer will start.
LCFC_Wade96 Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Would definitely play a 4-3-3. Kasper Delaet Morgan Moore Konchesky Hammond King Drinkwater Knockaert Vardy Nugent Got everything in it really apart from Dyer pace but we can bring him on. If pitch is decent, we should win if not probably will draw or lose.
Leicfox Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Just looking through the Blackpool squad and they've got loads of attacking options in Chopra, Ince, Fuller, Davies, Fonz, Tyson, Grant, Dobbie.
Guest ttfn Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Bradley Orr now at Blackpool. Lloyd gave him a proper seeing to last season when we played Ipswich.
Kitchandro Posted 18 September 2013 Author Posted 18 September 2013 Hard one, want Knockaert to start, because I thought he played excellent on Tuesday. But then I have a feeling neither him or Dyer will start. I'm all for roughing it up a bit away from home but playing a team with no pace and arguably no creativity is a different matter. Sometimes it works out but I still think being positive is the best idea. We're so much better at that. If we start negatively and end up losing I'll be fuming.
Leicfox Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 The pitch looks in great shape at Blackpool at present so no excuses there.
Simo86 Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Should be getting to The Manchester about 11ish. Not sure where we'll end up at night, we'll definitely go in Vodka Revs and Che Bar, maybe end up in Club Sanuk. Knowing my mates we'll be in a strip club as well at some point
