Manwell Pablo Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 Roy the Boy is naming his squad today, I wonder how many will drop out after this weekends games. Will show that we actually have no interest in going to the world cup if they do.....given we need to win both fixtures to avoid a play off.....and probably get at least 4 points to guarantee even that.
LCFC FOX Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 Hart or maybe even that Celtic keeper Jones Cahill Jagielka Cole Gerrard Lampard Ox Rooney Walcott Sturridge I would like to see
Guest MattP Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 I hope we drop into the playoffs, much more exciting.
Dan Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 Play-offs would give me some very rare England excitement, actually, although I'd be sick to miss out on the World Cup. Time to actually 'get the job done' (ie not play utter shit and be content with drawing against beatable sides)
Ric Flair Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 Daniel Sturridge is frantically self harming as we speak.
Uncle Albert Posted 3 October 2013 Author Posted 3 October 2013 Daniel Sturridge is frantically self harming as we speak. Haha! More than likely. No chance of Hodgson dropping Joe Hart for either of these games, that would have Scott Carson v Croatia all over it again. Hart Walker -- Cahill -- Jagielka -- Cole Gerrard -- Lampard Welbeck -- Rooney -- Milner Sturridge That's what I'm expecting from Roy in the first game v Montenegro.
LCFC FOX Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 Goalkeepers: Fraser Forster, Joe Hart, John Ruddy Defenders: Leighton Baines, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Phil Jagielka, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Kyle Walker Midfielders: Ross Barkley, Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, James Milner, Andros Townsend, Jack Wilshere Strikers: Jermain Defoe, Rickie Lambert, Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge, Daniel Welbeck
Dan Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 He'll probably play Welbeck on the left and he's actually not looked too bad there for England, cutting in. Wouldn't bother with Milner. I'd be tempted to say; Hart Walker - Cahill - Jagielka - Cole Gerrard - Lampard Sturridge - Rooney - Welbeck Walcott EDIT; So that lasted a whole minute Walcott out, Lambert in.
LCFC FOX Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 From that team it has to be Forster Jones - Cahill - Jagielka - Cole Gerrard - Lampard Sturridge - Rooney - Welbeck Defoe
Guest MattP Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 Forster? One good double save against Barca and he's England class? Forgetting the howlers against Kilmarnock and Hearts then? There is a reason Newcastle let him go for 2million.
Dan Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 From that team it has to be Forster Jones - Cahill - Jagielka - Cole Gerrard - Lampard Sturridge - Rooney - Walcott Defoe Walcott's not in it. Our defensive options are abysmal. Not a single right back I'm overly confident in and Jagielka's average. I'd put Cole in there for his experience although would be happy to see Baines play. Forster? One good double save against Barca and he's England class? Forgetting the howlers against Kilmarnock and Hearts then? There is a reason Newcastle let him go for 2million. Too easy to say though either way. I mean how many times have you watched him? Largely unknown to me but I wouldn't be against giving him a go if he's got something about him.

A couple of sensational performances, mostly fairly average, a couple of howlers. Certainly done nothing to even consider being thrown out as England's number 1 over what we have seen. We can't be that desperate we are going to start relying on players playing for teams who have lost to Greennock Morton and Shaktar Karagandy in the last month to represent us in crucial games.
LCFC FOX Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 I think Hart will play because he wont be under as much pressure as Forster. Forster will probably get a game in the next friendly
Danno Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 Hart Walker Cahill Jagielka Baines Carrick Barkley Lampard Townsend Rooney Welbeck Sturridge

Fair enough fair play. Hart has time to improve and I think he will, but anyone who genuinely believes he's 'world class' has absolutely no standards or they're incredibly biased. Hart Walker Cahill Jagielka Baines Carrick Barkley Lampard Townsend Rooney Welbeck Sturridge 4-6-1, I like it.
LCFC FOX Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 Hart Walker Cahill Jagielka Baines Carrick Barkley Lampard Townsend Rooney Welbeck Sturridge The ref may not let us play that

He's been dreadful this last six months and anyone who compares him to Cech, Neuer or Courtois needs shooting.

Joe Harts dodgy, don't think we have any better unfortuantley.
purpleronnie Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 Joe Harts dodgy, don't think we have any better unfortuantley. Therein lies the problem.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 3 October 2013 Posted 3 October 2013 COME ON WASYL!!!! I thought you were a dyslexic Welshman for a second.
Uncle Albert Posted 3 October 2013 Author Posted 3 October 2013 Hart Walker Cahill Jagielka Baines Carrick Barkley Lampard Townsend Rooney Welbeck Sturridge Don't know what's funnier you picking 12 players or you dropping the England captain for our two most crucial games since the Italy quarter final last year. I'm not even going to comment on the fact you've chosen to drop Ashley Cole and start two International unknowns in Townsend and Barkley. That is one post to sum up the stereotypical England fan.
