England v Montenegro and Poland.

Roy the Boy is naming his squad today, I wonder how many will drop out after this weekends games.

Will show that we actually have no interest in going to the world cup if they do.....given we need to win both fixtures to avoid a play off.....and probably get at least 4 points to guarantee even that.

I hope we drop into the playoffs, much more exciting.

Play-offs would give me some very rare England excitement, actually, although I'd be sick to miss out on the World Cup.

Time to actually 'get the job done' (ie not play utter shit and be content with drawing against beatable sides)

Daniel Sturridge is frantically self harming as we speak.

Haha! More than likely.

No chance of Hodgson dropping Joe Hart for either of these games, that would have Scott Carson v Croatia all over it again.

Hart

Walker -- Cahill -- Jagielka -- Cole

Gerrard -- Lampard

Welbeck -- Rooney -- Milner

Sturridge

That's what I'm expecting from Roy in the first game v Montenegro.

Goalkeepers: Fraser Forster, Joe Hart, John Ruddy

Defenders: Leighton Baines, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Phil Jagielka, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Kyle Walker

Midfielders: Ross Barkley, Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, James Milner, Andros Townsend, Jack Wilshere

Strikers: Jermain Defoe, Rickie Lambert, Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge, Daniel Welbeck

He'll probably play Welbeck on the left and he's actually not looked too bad there for England, cutting in.

Wouldn't bother with Milner.

I'd be tempted to say;

Hart

Walker - Cahill - Jagielka - Cole

Gerrard - Lampard

Sturridge - Rooney - Welbeck

Walcott

EDIT; So that lasted a whole minute lol Walcott out, Lambert in.

From that team it has to be

                     Forster

   Jones - Cahill - Jagielka - Cole

            Gerrard - Lampard

   Sturridge - Rooney - Welbeck

                     Defoe

Forster?

One good double save against Barca and he's England class? Forgetting the howlers against Kilmarnock and Hearts then?

There is a reason Newcastle let him go for 2million.

Walcott's not in it.

Our defensive options are abysmal. Not a single right back I'm overly confident in and Jagielka's average. I'd put Cole in there for his experience although would be happy to see Baines play.

Too easy to say though either way. I mean how many times have you watched him? Largely unknown to me but I wouldn't be against giving him a go if he's got something about him.

Hes on good form, Hart has made more mistakes. Forster deserves it IMO

Probably 15-20 times.

A couple of sensational performances, mostly fairly average, a couple of howlers.

Certainly done nothing to even consider being thrown out as England's number 1 over what we have seen.

We can't be that desperate we are going to start relying on players playing for teams who have lost to Greennock Morton and Shaktar Karagandy in the last month to represent us in crucial games.

Fair enough lol fair play.

Hart has time to improve and I think he will, but anyone who genuinely believes he's 'world class' has absolutely no standards or they're incredibly biased.

Hart

Walker Cahill Jagielka Baines

Carrick

Barkley Lampard

Townsend Rooney Welbeck

Sturridge

4-6-1, I like it.

He's been dreadful this last six months and anyone who compares him to Cech, Neuer or Courtois needs shooting.

lol

Don't know what's funnier you picking 12 players or you dropping the England captain for our two most crucial games since the Italy quarter final last year. I'm not even going to comment on the fact you've chosen to drop Ashley Cole and start two International unknowns in Townsend and Barkley.

That is one post to sum up the stereotypical England fan.
