So is that him asking for a transfer ? if that's the case we don't need to pay him any loyalty bonuses he is due and will save money on other fees . Well i think that's the way it works not 100 % certain .

If he requests a transfer then yes, but he will have to take a massive cut? We are talking 10k cut minimum

Looks like he's riding into town on a high horse too people. I feel like this should have some Ennio Morricone accompaniment

Half the thread has been dedicated to abusing him, And I cannot be bothered getting involved in that perticular thread, lowering my standards to that of the average foxestalk user...

Don't like it, don't look....

Boring me now, bye.

Well, that's ironic.

The player is coming to the end of his career, with a very young family and probably no idea how he will earn a living in ten years time, and you think he should take a pay cut? Would you?

Gave great service to lcfc, and by all accounts was a terrific player to have in the dressing room as well.

He's 29 he should have a good few years left.

Was a decent player for us, but now we have better.

So it shows he probably is willing to take some kind of wage cut in order to go perm there to play regular football and thus not quite the mercenary that people have accused him of being.

Not so sure myself.

He could easily have gone last season or earlier this season or even on a free to Preston now rather than on loan. I'll put it this way, if Gallagher wanted to go there permanently now and give up what he's on at Leicester no-one would stop him.

Sven. He had a few good games under him, gets compared to David Beckham and gets a ridiculous new contract.

There's genuinely a quote knocking around from Sven where he compared Wellens and Gallagher to Xavi and Iniesta. I nearly fell off my chair when I read that.

When does his contract run out? Sven gave him a new one so doubt he would want to terminate it without a fee or compensation to go and play for 6-7k at PNE

He also compared Howard to Vieri, I think he was losing the plot a little.

1) charm offensive

2) a few weeks of genuine hard work

3) get a new contract

4) aaaaaaaaand relax, job done, do nothing, take the money, laugh

I always wondered why somebody would sign a fairly long term deal with a club and not re-locate to the area?

I enjoyed reading that.

Just making my point stronger, Too egotistically motivated to have the last word, It's quite enjoyable seeing you boil over trying to be the big man lol

I really am beginning to wonder just how small your tool is, or if in fact you have one ?

On side note have you heard from seenitall lately?

lol At anyone who seriously thinks the guy will take a pay cut? He made he opinions clear on Twitter £££££££££££.....

We'll end up paying him a barrell load of money ala Beckford to make up the contract if he does go.

That in itself may be the clubs best option, a one off payment or reduced over a couple of years could be the way to work FFP

If I was minted, had a big house, nice cars, big garden and a wealthy family yes I would take a bit of a wage cut so thousands of fans of a football club wouldn't dislike me. Going from 30K a week to 20K a week wouldn't make much harm to him now. He has everything.

Agree, But don't think he would be going from 30k - 20k, more like 8-10k at PNE? from 30k-10k thats £1,000,000 a year wage cut

That is you with your current lifestyle on that money. His life is totally different, you say he has everything that means everything that you would want, you don't know his goals which are undoubtedly different due to the different life he has. Also we are all Leicester fans of course we want whats best for the club so we can all say yeah we would help Leicester. If you were at a job you didn't really like or maybe was ok and they were overpaying you, everyone at work hated you but you were raking it in, I know I wouldn't care what the other people at work thought I would go home and enjoy the cash with the people I care about!

Do you know any of this or are you plucking numbers out of thin air? If so, please don't cos there really is no point.

Suffice it to say, whatever the figures are it's too much these days for such an average footballer.
