Appreciation thread for the best right back Leicester has had since the prospectful Richard Stearman.

(Kyle Naughton was class, but not a perm)

Let's be honest, 25 years old, Man United appearences in his past, a solid developing season last year, and the chance of being a 30 game plus right back and back-up Belgium international in the Prem next year.

In this form, DeLaet will be our RB for the following five years!

MotM on Friday for sure, solid performance both defensively and in attack.

Underrated in my view, was a massive miss when he was injured and that showed in some of the results.

Best right back since Stearman? Bloody hell we've had some shit of late then.

Better than Stearman but not Naughton...

Open up an appreciation thread and then insult him by mentioning Richard Stearman in the same sentence

:)  He looked pretty good for us, and did rather well for Wolves in the prem as a RB / CB

It does make me feel good that Liam Moore is like a better Richard Stearman, and so young.

Are you enjoying playing League 1 football Richard?

Are you kidding? He was average for us (fvck me, I'm so glad we don't have someone who's only passing technique is to play a hopeful ball up the sideline supposedly in an attempt to find someone who had absolutely no chance of getting it) and he was utter dogturd for Wolves in the Prem. Every other week he'd score an own goal or fvck up for a goal.

Shit player and it says more about the era than it does about him that some people rated him.

It was hard going back further, and apart from Kyle we have had shit - but Stearman was okay / decent. Stil miles better than Canero, Maybury, Neilson etc..

He's improved defensively without losing any of his attacking threat. He's the best right back in the league for me and he could definitely play in the top flight.

A mate of mine who is a Man Utd fan mentioned to me at the end of match of the day on Saturday night that he couldn't understand why they ever got rid of him and said he wondered where he had gone, the football league show was about to begin and I said wait for this goal in a minute your about to find out

You realised how much we missed him when he was injured.

Because Knockaert is given a free-role he seems to play more as a wing-back than a full-back and he has the pace and stamina to be able to do that and it gives the side real balance. None of our other players would be able to fulfill the same role as effectively.

He's class, think he's played a massive part in our form of late.

As I said in the Derby player ratings, he's quick, he's strong, he can defend and he can play.

i just vomited a little bit in my mouth. THAT shows us where we've come from.

I had him on my shirt once, he signed it as well.

Our squad was so shit then, I was stuck for choice.

I remember there was a general positive buzz about Kenton, he'd been been playing in the top flight and could play anywhere across the backline.

In fairness to him he did alright, but still, Darren Kenton ffs.

Stearman goes straight into the Fryatt category for me. Gets such unwarranted abuse. He was a very good player. The defence we had when we went down was pretty impressive just let down by the awful midfield and attack!

Richie is a cracking player. Decent defensively and excellent going forward. Another fantastic Pearson signing.
