Rincewind Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 I think they thought that the original idea was to show what it meant to have to live on benefits.
DennisNedry Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 I think they thought that the original idea was to show what it meant to have to live on benefits. The fat cvnt is looking pretty happy in Magaluf.
Guest MattP Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 Believe me she won't be the only Brit sunning herself in Magaluf who is on benefits this summer. One on the left? Yes or No?
DennisNedry Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 Believe me she won't be the only Brit sunning herself in Magaluf who is on benefits this summer. One on the left? Yes or No? A definite yes. Might be worth getting her pregnant for a free council house and a lovely taxpayer funded life on benefits together :nuge:
Rincewind Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 It's true she won't be the only one sunning it up and living off benefits http://www.carersuk.org/forum?view=topic&catid=54&id=40509 He and White Dee should get together maybe.
Mike Oxlong Posted 7 May 2014 Author Posted 7 May 2014 What a selfish bitch. Too much sun and she won't be White Dee anymore. Blotchy red peely skin Dee just doesn't sound the same.
Ross-Kemp Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 She is now the Duchess of Solihull on 'celebrity' Big Brother.
RonnieTodger Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 Urgh. Hope she has a heart attack in the hot-tub.
Soar Fox Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Everything that is wrong with our country when White Dee is classed as a celebrity.
Alf Bentley Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Did you see that she's set to speak at the Tory Party conference? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/11027409/Benefits-Streets-White-Dee-to-speak-at-Conservative-Party-Conference.html Event organised by a think tank (Policy Exchange) not the Party, admittedly, but one set up by 3 prominent Tories (Boles, Gove & Maude) and now run by Danny Finkelstein, one of my favourite Tories - one of the few political commentators of any hue to speak with both intelligence and honesty. I'd love to know the financial arrangements for all these activities, though! Presumably, she must get paid at least a fee for appearing? I wonder if Dee is still signed on and declares all her media/political income or if she has signed off now?
Rincewind Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Bet all the tories suddenly love her now. Yes because if she slips up the Tory press will pick up on it and splash it as headlines on the front page 'We told you those on benefits were scroungers' and the sheep will nod their head in agreement. Ignoring the fact that the majority on benefits are on minimum wage, in part time jobs or on zero hour contracts and only about 3% of those on benefits commit benefit fraud.
Guest MattP Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Bet all the tories suddenly love her now. Behave. More shameless PR courting by Call me Dave. Honestly, if it wasn't for the job Osborne is doing I think Camerons approval would still be at below 30%. She shouldn't be anywhere near a Tory conference, pathetic. Honestly think I'll be voting UKIP next year as most traditional Conservatives should.

Rincewind Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 I was going to add that actually. But she will still be used and misquoted. I agree with her but I just think the way it is being done is wrong and unfair to the many who generally need benefits to supplement their low wages and income in order to pay bills.

So what would your solution be to stop people getting stuck in welfare dependency?
DennisNedry Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 So what would your solution be to stop people getting stuck in welfare dependency? A living wage would be a good start. The carrot is often better than the stick.
Webbo Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 A living wage would be a good start. The carrot is often better than the stick. What does living wage actually mean? Are the people earning below what ever it's meant to be dead? As soon as a living wage is introduced, ignoring the job losses and inflation it would cause, there would be a new campaign, the pleasant wage or the comfortable wage. If we paid everyone a million pounds a week there'd still be people happy to stay on the dole and there be others complaining that someone else is earning 2 million pounds a week.

'a wage which is high enough to maintain a normal standard of living' In the last 15 years, the minimum wage has gone up by £2.71 an hour. In the meantime, the cost of a loaf of bread has increased by 143%, petrol by 108%, house prices by 166% etc. Simply put, for those with a low skill set and lack of opportunities, work just isn't 'worth it' anymore.
Dr The Singh Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Bet all the tories suddenly love her now. Mattp always did, physically!!
Guest MattP Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 So she's sitting on arse all week with a camera on her getting paid? What's any different for any other week for her?
