Churchill Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 I am hoping we clinch the title before the final game but if we don't it looks like it will be an exciting finish with Burnley away to Reading and Derby away at Leeds!
lancyclaret Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 Hope it doesn't go to the last game - 5 years ago we had to beat Bristol City on the final day to make the play-offs. Won 4-0. In 2001-2002, to make the play-offs we had to match Norwich's result win, lose or draw. We beat Coventry 1-0, but Norwich beat Stockport 2-0 so we missed out by ONE goal despite getting 75 points.
Bert Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 I think the title will be decided before the last game of the season.
Beliall Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 was hoping to get to a home game in april, but 2 a 7.45 k.o, too late for return trains home, and the qpr game in 12.15, must be something happening on the line becuase there no train to leicester. leaves me doncaster in may. more time to save should be a good day
lancyclaret Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 I think the title will be decided before the last game of the season. I am, sure it will. 2nd might still be up for grabs and a play-off place or two. Relegation battle won't be as exciting as last year with less clubs involved and no really big club like Wolves.
brisfox Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 I think all City fans are very grateful to everybody at the club for the hard work they have put in this season.I have a suggestion for the last game of the season. Nigel Pearson and his staff in particular have worked a minor miracle this year. We gave the owners a standing ovation a few matches back. why don't we do the same thing for Nigel in,say, the 12th minute (he being our 12th man). Just wanted to get a feeling about how the fans felt about this. Good idea or bad?

Don't really see the need, should we be successful (which I am pretty sure we will be) in achieving promotion, applause and celebration after 90 minutes on the last day will show all the appreciation nige and the team deserve.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 It'd be nice to get 'one nigel Pearson' going in any given game
BrummieFOX Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 Don't forget, the first round is on Top. Where do I claim this from?
steveherbe Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 Where do I claim this from? Anywhere, just say put it on Tops tab!
Leicesterpool Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 Personally i can see us getting promoted well before then and title being decided by probably the QPR home game.

Whatever occurs on the final day at home you can be sure the early leavers to get their cars behind the East Stand first in line will still go and move them.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 I can see it being boring as fvck on the last day. It's very possible that every major issue will be sorted We're likely, as things to stand, to be sealing with three or four games to spare, Burnley should do so with a couple and most of the play-off places are likely to be done as well. I can't see Derby and QPR dropping out, although Forest-Wigan-Reading should be an interesting tussle for the remaining two. Forest are most likely to drop out with their crock list. The bottom three might be more interesting though, I can see that being quite close. Five or six teams could conceivably go down with Yeovil and Barnsley looking doomed and Charlton, Millwall, Doncaster and Blackpool all looking endangered, but that'd still be two out of three relegation spots settled. I think Charlton might get out of it with three games in hand. Blackpool look dark horses for the third relegation spot with 16 winless games.
JamesWelshFox Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 Final game of the season, I'm think 90 minutes of standing applause and chanting of 'there's only one' going through the entire coaching and playing staff, what do you reckon ? Reckon they deserve it myself
