I got as far as the train robbery then put it down.  Too many basic prompts to do this and that and painfully slow to boot.

Have moved onto Until Dawn remake version.

Eh? RDR2 is the epitome of open world, go where you like, do what you like, gaming.

That's why I posed if it's just not the type of game that the OP likes because I can't understand if you like a strong theme, characters and story in an open world RPG how RDR2 wouldn't be your bag :D

Yeah, but what prompts exactly? I could understand the criticism that you're not given enough guidance and you didn't know what to do next. It's not like the game is constantly forcing to move forward, like Uncharted or Tomb Raider, which gives an illusion of being open world.

I guess they might mean the tutorials and instructions are quite heavily front-loaded so you get a lot of information on different aspects of the game and "status's" and stuff but yeah only @Legend_in_blue can answer that really.

I think it's the same criticism that GTA has in that the gameplay is basically autoaim/autoengage "press LT, press RT, press LT, press RT, hold x".

I think you can turn that off.

The opening sequence to RDR2 must be one of the best in gaming history surely.

I'll be picking it up again as soon as the clocks go back

Never played it thinking about getting it soon and the contrast to GTA 6 and Shemue should see me through the winter nicely.

Best started on a nice cold winters day or night

If anybody wants a new game to play then you cant go wrong with Fahrenheit. Now on PS Plus. I remember having it on PS2 and loving it. Ive started it and it already sends me back to my childhood.

@Legend_in_blue If you like Until Dawn and that type of game then Fahrenheit will be right up your street.

Did you ever watch The Hateful Eight? The opening in RDR2 is very reminiscent of that, always sucks me in to the world👌

What's happening with Shenmue? Must've missed that

I watched it a few days after starting RDR2, perfect pairing.

Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain (and that scene in the flat lol), Detroit Become Human - all great games and stories.  Done them all.

I think I've just found another decent story based game with light combat mechanics on PS+ though.

I'm two hours into Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and the first 30 minutes or so drew me right in.  The story and the voice acting is very, very good.  I'd recommend giving it a go, I'll definitely stick with this one.

Recently finished the Burning Shores DLC for HFW which, although short, was excellent, and only have FF7 Rebirth to finish and AC Shadows to slog through.  I gave FFX-2 a couple of goes but I'm struggling to get into that as well.

Still waiting on price drops for RE Requiem and 007.

I had a blast on that new walking game with my bro a couple of nights ago. Actually a lot of fun. I see the appeal with it.

I found my PS Vita yesterday sat in its case not turned on in years. Plugged it in and still works perfectly. Managed to Jailbreak it and now can play XBOX games on it haha

Banishers Ghosts of New Eden is an excellent single-player story-based experience.  The main criticism of the game, the combat, is decent too once you get into the game.

Reviews of the game are way too harsh.

Recommend it.

Now ive finished Fahranheit i was wondering what to dip into next. Ill give this a go.

Been playing Mario Sunshine on the Switch. Also jailbreaked my PS Vita to play Xbox games on it but honestly its too difficult to play alot of games. Screen is too small and the joysticks are too small

I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I'm part of the way through a platinum run which is tricky to pull off in one go due to the multiple endings the game has.  You can do it by saving the game at a specific point and running through one pathway to the end and then go back, reload the save and change your option to gain the other ending trophy.

Beyond that I believe the remaining collectable trophies are a pain but I will persevere lol

Might be worth reading into it before starting if trophy hunting is what you're after.

Banishers Ghosts of New Eden main story complete.  Now to go back to mid game and make different choices all while completing the bits missed out on the first run through.

Great game with a decent, solid story.  Will be interesting to see how the alternate ending plays out.

Do we think this new Witcher 3 update next month will allow us to import our saves from the last "next gen" update they did?

Wondering if I need to replay the game a 3rd time to get up to speed with the 3rd DLC that comes out next year...

I think i would just use it as an excuse to play through it again anyway. Such a phenomenal game. Gwent is legendary

Probably as it's a game update as opposed a stand-alone title.

Was contemplating a replay and this has sealed the deal.

Bramble – The Mountain King

Currently on sale.

If you like games such as Inside, this is for you.

Starts out cute and relatively harmless, but turns into something far more sinister as you progress.

A variation of the Scandinavian wight saga.
