They did a re-release? I completed it on steam deck and was great fun.

Yeah it’s just a next gen update, a lot of graphical improvements and bug fixes. Would recommend, I’ve always preferred it to the second

I was sat on the fence when picking between RE9 and Crimson Desert but bit the bullet on CD. I love open world games but not interested in fantasy games but I’m so glad I did. Only a few hours in and I’m loving it. Apparently it gets better as you go on. There’s so much to do, literally find yourself doing random shit without even doing the main quest. I would recommend it if you’re unsure on it.

Finished the new Resident Evil yesterday.

Grace missions - Great

Leon missions - dull and he's too overpowered

Final boss fight was incredibly easy and genuinely was expecting that to be phase one of defeating him

Currently sailing around the Caribbean and I decided to bring the switch 2 to play in the room whilst the boy sleeps. Redownloaded Skyrim. Honestly what a game. Lost count how many hours I've ploughed into it

Lords of the Fallen.  After many, many tries, I beat the first main boss, celebrated, and thought I'd keep going but, 10 minutes and a couple of sneaky enemies later  one of which one hit me off the castle edge into oblivion, I just couldn't be bothered.  Haven't got the patience for more Souls like nonsense.  Deleted.  lol

Total War Warhammer 3.

Entirely gripped by this. Incredible work.

Are you new to it?

If so you might not know the answer to this but either way, is the ai still completely broken with half the factions just standing around doing nothing? lol

That was caused by an unfortunate mix up at the developers. Someone told the programming team to work on the AI, but they misheard them and thought they said to work on the Ayew.

No - it's more purposeful now it seems. Retreating after losses, rebuilding, and coming back with intent. I'm in a big multi-player campaign and it's a threat to all involved.

Good to hear. They did a major overhaul of the ai a while back to make the later game more challenging but in doing so they broke several factions for a while. The likes of the lizard men would just stand there not moving away from their capital all game it was a bit nuts.

Good game though on the whole yeah.

A way to take the mind off our current misery.

Discovered this last December.

Indycar Racing II. A 30 year old game but  remastered in HD and modded by fans.

Paved the way for iRacing

That definitely takes me back.

Sim racing was a big part of my life many years ago. Had a regular group of us that raced every weekend.

A few of us moved on to iRacing, but I just didn't put enough time into it and eventually just lost interest.

Been a very long time since I've gamed at all on a PC.

I still have NBA 2k26 (MyNBA ofc, never online), PGA 2k25, Crimson Desert, KCD 2 on rotation with a few indie games in between (Above the Snow, Tides of Tomorrow). Not much time unfortunately for long periods of gaming. Crimson Desert and KCD 2 oh well, I might finish them next year at this pace.

I'll get Pragmata soon though and focus to finish this one as it's linear and around 12h-15h only.

Pragmata.

Challenging, but fair. I enjoy these new game mechanics. Requires a bit of a learning curve at the beginning.

Can get a bit hectic. though.

Tried the demo and liked it.  It's on my list!

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered for me.  Completely lost in this game world once again, around 10 hours in. The graphical upgrade makes it a joy to play as well.  Also with AC Shadows on the go at the moment to compare, I cant tell much difference in graphical quality, the remaster looks awesome.  The gameplay is just so, so good as well, so I've shelved AC Shadows for the time being lol

Photo mode in HZD Remastered has me spending roughly 20 minutes of every hour of gameplay taking the perfect shot.  lol

The other 40 minutes is an absolute blast too.

Taking my time with it, just arrived at Meridian.

Jumped back into No Man's Sky for a bit this week after a few years and it's consistently impressive how it continues to improve a decade after release.

The ship building mechanic is on par with Starfield's IMO and them adding in a Pokemon style monster battle arena gives you something to do with planetary fauna.

Considering they've never charged a penny for any updates either. The greatest redemption arc in gaming.

6 years late to this but I’ve started Death Stranding with a view to getting this tucked away and doing number 2.

I’m a good few hours in…I’m not sure if this is enjoyable or if it’s supposed to be enjoyable or what? The landscape looks lovely and the movement mechanics are interesting enough but…when is this supposed to be enjoyable?

I saw a lot of the memes about it being a delivery simulator and laughed along. I presumed that there was something behind all that outside of nicely rendered landscapes and realistic looking stumbles.

When will this get good? Or is it a rubbish job throughout.

I gave up after falling off a cliff twice right at the start and having to rebirth yourself. lol Love Kojima but just CBA with it. Seems to be a totally Martmite game, some people completely rave about it, especially the second.

I think if you're really not enjoying it then the likelihood is you're going to carry on really not enjoying it. You unlock new tools, move on to new maps, meet new characters and so on but the basic loop remains essentially the same throughout - doing deliveries to connect/strengthen areas, broken up by the occasional boss fight or very long cutscene.

I got the game when it was first released and I am pretty sure I took it back to GAME to trade it in the same weekend

Yeah just looked, it was released on 10th August 2016 which is when I got my first trophy on PS4 for it

My last trophy (I got 3 total) was on 11th August 2016 lol
