Went from Dead Space to Spiderman 2, what a change in emotions lol

What are peoples thoughts on Baldurs Gate 3? never played anything like it but seen some bits around it, is it basically just Dungeon and Dragons?

Not sure how it plays on PS5 myself.  I'd try the trial but I think you have to download the whole game which is around 130gb.  From what I've read it plays well on controller.  I would get it but digital only puts me off.  If I don't like it, stuck with it.

Just finished RE4 Remake.  Great remake of one of the best titles on PS2.  Highly recommend.  Some design differences such as none of the hanging cages section and the laser corridor missing but the gameplay is as good as/better than it was back then.  Best RE along with RE2.

Saddler is way too easy still at the end though.  Two RPGs and a few magnum rounds and he's down.  Trickiest part was Salazar.

Read rumours of a RE1 remake next year to tie in with the 30th anniversary of the original game.  We'll see.  I have Village to start now :D

Although I could replay 4 many times over since it's that good.  VR is tempting just for this game as well tbh.  Might look into it lol

my game of the year for the last 2 years. been playing it on and off since it released. hands down the most well acted and scripted storylines i have ever seen. i never played a ARPG before this and im now hooked on it. 500 hours and counting so far. combat is fantastic, multiple endings and approaches to everything, i have never had the same experience twice. if you're unsure just watch a youtube play through of the first couple of hours but honestly, this is a proper RPG. you can do literally anything you like, and complete things however you wish. and be a complete murdering bastard if you want to. a real breath of fresh air in the gaming space

I have just realised that I can actually stream the game for free on a 2 hour trial with PS Premium rather than have to deal with the hefty 130gb download which will destroy my remaining space.

I will try it at some point

I'm currently on my first BG3 playthrough. Once you get your head round the controls it is absolutely spectacular and will def stand up to multiple playthroughs. It is essentially DnD in computer game form so if you've played that then youl have a vague headstart on some of the game mechanics. Can't recommend it enough.

I had never played a DnD game and i took the leap of faith with BG3. Brilliant game. I loved it simply because even on normal mode the game is quite difficult. DnD veterans may find it easy enough but me being thrown into the deep end i loved trying to get my head around everything. A battle can take at least 30 minutes, you really need to plan your moves

Cant recommend it enough if you like RPG games

My brother has finished Dragon Age the Veilguard and has given it me to play. But i am halfway through TemTem and i feel like i need to finish that before jumping into it.

TemTem isnt even that good but it annoys me when i do not finish games lol

You on the PS5 with this @moore_94 ?

I'm tempted to get it now it's reduced in price and the DLC is included.

Yeah, going through it again so I can play the DLC as I haven't given it a go yet

Have you ever played it before?

I played it when it first came out and really enjoyed it

I haven't played it before.  After the fiasco at launch, I left it alone.

This, BG3 and Jedi Survivor are on my hit list.  As is GoW Ragnorok which is conveniently free on PS Extra from Tuesday.

I'm currently at House Beneviento in RE Village.  Brilliant game so far, the atmosphere is very intense.  Surprised Lady Dimitrescu is in it for such a short amount of time given the marketing before release.  Thought she was the main protagonist.  Not read much into the story, let it surprise me as I go along.

RE Village is great, but to then have BG3 to play and Cyberpunk you are in for a treat. Cyberpunk really surprised me. Loved running around with a sword

I got quite lucky really with the launch as I didn’t really have many issues at all, other than 1 bug that stopped me progressing but thankfully there was a simple fix

It is even better than with the big updates they have done, the combat is a lot of fun as well especially with how many different ways you can build your character

I really enjoyed RE Village, House Beneviento is one of my favourite bits of the game

Ok, I hadnt played a PS console for years. My son however wanted one and he is at the right age and had earned it after some really good school reports.

I thought I would have a few games with Fifa with him. I am too old to be playing it. Wont have the time.

So far, played and completed 2 Tomb Raider games and have just downloaded and absolutely hooked on Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain - I know they are PS4 games (playing it on the PS5) and I only downloaded them because they are cheap and nostalgic but my word, how great are they.

Metal Gear in particular is exceptional!

Ssshhhh.  Quiet.

lol

It really has me addicted.

Does anyone else know of any similar type of games. I’ve ages left on this but want to be prepared

She or it?  lol

You'll know when you get there.

You're in luck with MGS.  The Snake Eater remake aka Delta is out this year.

As for other types of games, tricky to compare MGS with other titles since they're quite unique.  In terms of stealth, there isn't a lot of recent decent stuff.  If you have PS Extra you could download the Dishonored titles, Deus Ex, Sniper Elite, the AC titles... there's quite a bit of choice there.

If any other genres are of interest, there's plenty of other stuff to get into.  I'd recommend a PS Extra subscription to download a load of free stuff that could keep you busy for the next couple of years, no problem.

I can't think of a game that has done a section of horror as well as this.  Silent Hill maybe?  The whole house scenario with the baby and all the creepy stuff was something else.  Don't think I could cope if it was in VR lol

There is a new metal gear solid coming out 2026 and believe it or not you can actually pre-order now. I ordered thought it was coming this month but wasn't wearing my glasses 🤣
