Charl91 Posted 23 June 2015 Posted 23 June 2015 Reccomended my insurance company to a collegue and am getting £60 of amazon vouchers as a result, so this one is free for me. Sure it wont be shite like origins now RS are back on the case. at the Arkham City not being good, rushed out comment. A year down the line, and I gave Arkham City another chance. To it's credit, the game-play was much better than I remember it being, so I stand corrected on that front. That being said, the story is absolutely terrible for Arkham City. Truly bad. They've just tried to crow bar as many villains in as possible, and it's a mess. Still would say Asylum was much more enjoyable.
BrokenRecord Posted 26 June 2015 Posted 26 June 2015 Pc version looks well good Not sure if sarcasm but if not, it's riddled with poor performance, even on high-end rigs. It's actually been removed from steam until they iron out the issues, so currently you can't buy it off steam.

IOWFOX Posted 26 June 2015 Posted 26 June 2015 Heard a lot of textures aren't appearing either... what a mess... rocksteady have usually done a fantastic job on the PC games Didnt they outsource the pc port this time?
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 27 June 2015 Posted 27 June 2015 Basically a big **** you to PC gamers. 5 years they've been making this game, they couldn't of made their own PC port in that time? Poor show, if you insist on outsourcing it, don't outsource it to a bunch of amateurs. This will rightfully be affecting their reputation.
Brenfox Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Not a massive fan of these games but after watching some gameplay videos I'm considering it. The graphics look stunning.
DB11 Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Is there a free roam possibility on this? Or is it just mission to mission like Call of Duty series?
GeorgeTheFox Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Is there a free roam possibility on this? Or is it just mission to mission like Call of Duty series?I would describe it as open world rather than free roam which I'm aware sounds pedantic but in my eyes there is a slight difference. It's not linear like call of duty but I mostly find I just go straight from mission to mission without really exploring the world besides for collectables
DB11 Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Just been out to Tesco and bought it... Spontaneous purchase somewhat but it's updating now so let's see what it's like! Lots of good reviews I notice
kingcarr21 Posted 29 June 2015 Posted 29 June 2015 This will be my next buy once the witcher is complete. Arkham Asylum was a brilliant game.
Itsthejoeker Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 Just finished this, absolutely loved it! Loved the endings too! If anyone wants to buy mine, I'll sell it to you cheap!
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 I'll give you a pack of hobnobs, 3 salt and vinegar grab bags (walkers) and a big bottle of rola cola.

DB11 Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 It pisses me off how long it takes to reset and go again when you die. If I am struggling at a bit then after dying three times in succession I've had enough of waiting and rage quit
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 Well after finishing the game to 100% to get the actual ending, can say it was very good but very flawed. The Bat tank outstayed it's welcome by some considerable margin. The villians were underwhelming. The Arkham Knight reveal was telegraphed pretty much from the moment you met him. Boss battles under whelming. Scarecrow barely in the game. Side missions incredibly repetitive. But my main gripe is the god damn Bat Tank, the thing got boring pretty fast, I don't want to spend my time in a Batman game in a tank shooting drones, it just didn't fit at all. Saying all that there was a lot to praise. The game is beautiful, just flying/grappling round Gotham is an absolute joy. Some of the side missions were really fun, I liked solving the murder case, the Riddler challenges were really good, some of them were actually a little tricky, probably the highlight of the game other than the main highlight of the game which is a theme throughout, which I won't spoil but people who have played it will know what I mean. The ending of the main campaign was freaky as hell. I'd give it a 7 out of 10, just can't ignore the fact that half the game is the bat tank and it was boring as fook.
VLC86 Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 I really likely it. Only just completed the story mode and barely done any side missions. I agree about Scarecrow, I was expecting some intense nightmarish missions like they had in one of the others (can't remember which game) but it's well worth a play.
zak_lcfc Posted 31 July 2015 Posted 31 July 2015 About 38% completed and I agree that the bat tank is overused, at first it was a nice new addition but forcing us to use it to complete missions got boring quickly, as ever with the batman games the combat is flawless and the graphics on he ps4 have been impressive
