Tom Cleverley petition

And who the fvck would you take instead?

I suppose Henderson would be the obvious choice at the minute.

I've already said I'd take someone like Tripper over Smalling, why should we have to wait until they sign for a "big club" before we call them up? It's going to happen.

Welbeck, anyone whose English and has scored this season will do, the most unthreatening "striker" I have ever seen, I'm still trying to work out how you manage to play up front for a team 27 times who wins the league by about 15 points, scores about 80 goals and you only manage 1 of them. Genuinely baffling stuff.

Surely Henderson would be on the plane there anyway, not Cleverley's replacement? And with regards to someone like Trippier, it's the fact that he's not even played Premiership football that makes that stupid. I would definitely not mind Rodriguez going over Welbeck but I want them performing in the Prem first.

Not checked this week but last month Hendo was odds against and behind 8-9 others still to make the squad with the bookies.

I have no problem with a player picking a Championship player if he believes he is good enough, he should be able to judge being an International manager, if you remember I tipped Lallana on here 3 years ago to play for them and people laughed at me as he was at this level.

The whole squad is frankly dogshit.

Yeah definitely we are so bad we shouldn't even bother, Denmark will beat us easily.

Wilshire's been very mediocre this season - where's his petition? In all seriousness, you have to worry about people who take time out to sign such a thing.

Wilshere is a big talent and has potential. At least you can say in glimpses this season he's looked a top player, and in his injury blighted short career. I've never seen Cleverley do a thing at Premiership level.

I think it winds people up, similar to the Smalling situation, when players are picked based on who they play for.

I'm quite sure Cleverley wouldn't get picked if he didn't play for Man Utd. Even if he played for someone like Spurs I don't think he'd get picked.

Everyone needs a scapegoat. Its not like half the other players are pulling up international trees is it.

Guessing it will get shot down given the comments above but do people think he'd be worth a bid from us in the summer? Seems to tick a lot of boxes for me:

-has played for the club before

-knows a lot of our players from youth days, especially James and Drinkers

-a 5 man mid may occasionally need to be deployed should we get to the Prem so he could fit in alongside James and Drinkwater

-has a point to prove

Might be a no goer I don't know. Can just see Moyes wanting rid and think he might be worth a punt.

I think it's just a joke, isn't it?

Mind you, half the squad is rubbish, led by a defensive manager, and I can't see us getting out of the group stages.

Yet the media still seem to get away with it. When we drew 1-1 with France in the European Championships, a good result, a certain newspaper ran the sarcastic headline about us celebrating it like a victory. They also seem to pick on certain players, especially before a major tournemount, and I don't expect anything less this year.
