onme edson Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 What a difference success makes to everyone down at the KP. Great to see so many smiling faces. I've been supporting Leicester City for many years now, from the Matt Gillies era through the fabulous Jimmy Bloomfield times and of course, the Martin O'Neil years and I can honestly say things have never been so good as they are this season. Doesn't it sound great to hear Barnsley's boss Danny Wilson say: "Leicester are the best team in this division by a country mile, in my opinion. "They're class, they're a good team to watch and I'm slightly jealous in one respect because they've got some quality players there. "It's coming together for them now. They're a Premier League team in waiting; it's only a matter of time." These really are exciting times for Fox- fans!
lcfc278 Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 I am savouring it all. As we well know there are more bad years than good years and being where we are and playing the football we are playing, it feels great! Even my missus has said "its nice that you're not so pissed off every saturday now". Once we clinch promotion its going to be such a great feeling - and we will have the summer to appreciate how well we've done. Lets just get there now!
Corky Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 The O'Neill era was greater, due to the level we were playing at and the trophies won. However, in terms of style and dominating a division, this is new and unprecedented for us. We weren't this good in League One.

Tommy G Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Sat there last night after the 3rd goal and thought to myself, we've reached the pinnacle now. That performance was sensational and on par with derby this season only thing to better it will be us lifting the trophy!
onme edson Posted 12 March 2014 Author Posted 12 March 2014 Yeah your'e probably right, I suppose I'm getting carried away after the last ten years of mediocracy.

Buzzell Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 It feels so good being top of the league. I just hope we can establish ourselves in the PL IF we go up Really looking forward to seeing who we bring in.
TJB-fox Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Danny wilson also said 'Thank Fcuk for that' when a reporter said 'danny, the only good news I can bring you is that you dont have to play Leicester again this year'

AndWhat? Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Europe is our pinnacle. This. When I am standing in a random stadium in Russia watching Leicester city is when I will feel we have reached our pinnacle.
ousefox Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 That was the best away performance I have ever seen from us. What a fantastic night.
Dan Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 This. When I am standing in a random stadium in Russia watching Leicester city is when I will feel we have reached our pinnacle. Russia would be nervy but it'd have to be done.
Harry - LCFC Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Think I'd avoid Russia personally. What with death being the distinct possibility that it is over there...
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Think I'd avoid Russia personally. What with death being the distinct possibility that it is over there...Russia is fine, just behave and you won't get killed is my general rule of thumb

Well said one championship season will never be better than 4 top ten finishes in the prem. Oh yes and 3 cup finals 2 of which were won and 2 trips into Europe. As great as we are and this season is get real it is second class football.
